Healing my disabled husband novel Chapter 789

Chapter 789 Are You Going To Bully Me?

Upon hearing this, Patrick chuckled and said, "No problem."
Aimee cautioned him, "Don't think it's going to be easy just because you agreed. Taking care of children is not a simple task."
She believed that Patrick's eagerness to agree was due to his lack of experience with children. Children could do things beyond imagination and if he underestimated them, he would be taught a lesson.
"I think you should really consider whether or not you want to agree so quickly," Aimee advised. "You don't want to be overwhelmed later on."
Patrick replied confidently, "Trust me. I may not be the perfect father but I will do everything I can to take care of them."
Aimee felt touched by his words and her gaze softened as she looked at him.
"I'm really happy for them," she said. Even before they were born, they had already received so much love and attention. She placed her hand on Patrick's chest and added softly, "I'll take good care of them too."
The two cuddled on the balcony for a while before returning inside where the air conditioning hit Aimee like a cold wave.
Patrick held her close in his arms while gently rubbing her arms to help her adjust to the temperature inside.
"It's okay," Aimee assured him. "I'm not feeling that cold from earlier."
"Be careful. You might catch a cold and feel uncomfortable," Patrick said.
Aimee nodded, but then suddenly laughed and said, "I don't think I've ever really been sick before."
Patrick was almost annoyed by her words. With that tone of hers, was she actually regretting not having been sick?
He raised his hand and flicked Aimee's forehead. "You're looking forward to it now? What are you thinking in that little head of yours?"
Without thinking, Aimee blurted out, "You."
As soon as the word left her mouth, Aimee realized how cheesy it sounded. She couldn't believe she had just said it so corny.
Patrick was taken aback by what Aimee had said but then chuckled and looked at her with amusement. "Well then, I'd like to know how you think about me."
Aimee remained silent.
What kind of conversation was this? They were a married couple. How could they still have such flirtatious conversations?
Aimee didn't want to continue this topic any longer. She pushed Patrick away and said, "I'm a bit hungry now. I'll go see if there's anything we can eat."
Patrick couldn't let Aimee escape with such an obvious excuse. He pulled her back and whispered in her ear, deliberately lowering his voice, "I think about you all the time."
Aimee was at a loss for words. This man was breaking all the rules.
She raised her eyes and glared at Patrick, adding a hint of coquettishness to her voice. "So I'm hungry now, are you going to 'bully' me?"
Patrick chuckled softly.
What could he do? She was his wife and he had to spoil her.
He leaned down and kissed Aimee's lips hard before saying, "Let's go. Whatever you want to eat, your husband will make it for you."
