Chapter 478
Even though the Whitfield family revealed their secrets due to a misunderstanding with Agnes and started to shun her.
However, if the Whitfields knew about the kid, things would be totally different.
At least, Beatrice was certain that the Whitfields, including Jared, had no clue that Agnes was pregnant.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have let Agnes announce her divorce.
She didn’t get why Agnes decided to keep the baby when she chose to divorce Jared.
Agnes shouldn’t have kept the baby.
Agnes was just a scheming woman, she was only saving her own hide.
No way!
She wouldn’t let Agnes get her way.
Why should Agnes hog all the good things in the world?
Now Agnes owned all the Pritchard family’s fortune, she was even the chairwoman of Starlight International Group, holding all its shares.
Everyone favored her.
If Agnes had such a trump card, Beatrice couldn’t bear to think about the outcome.
But Beatrice was almost sure that Agnes‘ baby would be the biggest hurdle to her rise to the top.
She couldn’t let that happen.
She had been waiting patiently for their breakup, their divorce.
She didn’t even know how she made it through this period.
She absolutely couldn’t see them getting back together, all lovey–dovey.
She tore the medical report into pieces.
She thought to herself, “Agnes, since we were kids, you’ve always been better than me. Dad has always favored you, even the best things were reserved for you first. I’ve been crushing on Jared for years, but he married you without a second thought. Agnes, this world shouldn’t have both you and me in it!”
Beatrice’s face twisted gradually, a maniacal thought creeping up in her mind.
Once that thought emerged, it grew wildly, and she couldn’t control it anymore.
Beatrice’s hands on the steering wheel began to tremble.
She didn’t want to hold back anymore.
Laura kept telling her to be patient, but until when should she endure?
Once Agnes disappeared, everything would be over, right?
Nobody would stand in her way, she wouldn’t have to endure the torment and pain of unrequited love.
If only Agnes and the baby vanished together.
Then nobody could pose a threat to Laura.
Everything of the Pritchard family, including Starlight International Group, would be hers, hers alone.
Beatrice, trembling hands on the wheel, started the car.
“Agnes, don’t blame me, you asked for this. You shouldn’t have disgraced me, got me kicked out of showbiz, stolen everything from me. You absolutely shouldn’t have become Mrs. Whitfield, blocking my path.”
Agnes was still lugging her luggage.
Suddenly two bright headlights blinded her.
As she turned around, a car was barreling straight towards her.
Under the harsh headlights, Agnes saw a twisted, demonic face.
