Chapter 485
Agnes unconsciously shook her head.
What on earth was she thinking?
She had divorced Jared, and they had no contact at all.
He was going to be engaged, what did it have to do with her?
Agnes told Ryder, “Noc’s condition has improved a bit recently. He used to sleep an average of 20 hours a day, but now he’s awake about half an hour longer each day.”
Ryder got up and said, “The new medication is working quite well, but we dare not increase Noc’s dosage yet. Even though the possibility is slim, there is still an uncertain risk.”
Agnes nodded.
Next was the expert consultation.
Every month, Noc would have a consultation with the experts to keep track of his condition and any minor changes.
Of course, Noc would also undergo neuron stimulation therapy during this period.
By the time everything was over, it was noon.
At this point, Noc had dozed off.
Noc was only most awake in the late afternoon.
At other times, even if he was awake he was drowsy.
The consultation was over, and everyone left the meeting room.
Agnes picked up Noc.
Noc obediently lay on Agnes‘ shoulder, sleeping soundly.
Ryder got up and walked over, asking, “Do you want to have lunch together?”
Agnes shook her head, “No, I have some things to deal with.”
Over the years, Agnes had minimal personal interaction with Ryder, aside from necessary communication.
Ryder was no longer the cold young man he used to be.
He was now a key figure in a top medical research group, the youngest world–class neurologist.
His face had long shed its youthful immaturity, becoming a mature man.
In the hospital, Ryder’s face was still welcomed.
In the top–tier Hopson Hospital, unmarried nurses and doctors were all fond of him.
But over the years, he was focused on research, surgery, and academics, with no interest in romance.
Because he always flatly rejected those who pursued him, some people even spread rumors that he was gay.
The rumor lasted for two years, and almost everyone believed it.
But Ryder didn’t care at all.
Ryder knew that Agnes wouldn’t agree to have lunch together, so he wasn’t disappointed, “Then be careful driving.”
Just as Agnes left, Ryder received a phone call.
“Are you still at the hospital?” A male voice came from the other end of the phone.
Ryder was a bit surprised, “Uncle?”
