Hello, Mr. Brent novel Chapter 210

Franklin sat expressionless in his office. On the table was Jason's investigation of Emily's situation over the past four years. These included Emily's current husband, James, and Emily and James' son, Bryce.

But Franklin had never opened it, and that was why he didn't know who James was when he saw him.

But now, he had the urge to open it.

He wanted to know what had happened to her in the past four years and what kind of life she had lived.

"Boss, Miss Lewis is here." The secretary knocked on the door and came in to report to Franklin.

Franklin's hand, which had just been placed on the folder, seemed to have been scalded and immediately retracted. He said with a grim face, "Let her in!"

The secretary nodded.

After the secretary left, Franklin sighed and put the folder away on the bottom drawer of the desk and locked it.

He didn't need to know all the things. He just wanted to know how that woman cheated on him.

"Franklin, are you busy now? Will I disturb you?" Avery asked with a smile when she came in.

Franklin said expressionlessly, "If you have something to say, just say it quickly! Otherwise, you will waste more time."

Avery smiled as if she had been used to his indifference.

She sat down opposite him and said, "Well, I heard that Miss Johnson is back. I don't know if it's true."

"You heard from Harry, right? I didn't expect him to be so gossipy and even told you that." Franklin snorted.

Avery said with a smile, "He's doing it for our own good. Everything between you and Emily is over. But now, something happened again, and it's said that Emily is married and her husband is still in Lancaster. If you still hold on to what happened four years ago, it's easy to be misunderstood."

"Let it be. I don't care whether others misunderstand me or not." Franklin said.

Avery's face stiffened. She pursed her lips and looked at him, "So, aren't you afraid that others will misunderstand that you're still in love with Emily?"

"Heh, do you think I will put someone in jail if I still have feelings for her?" Franklin sneered.

Avery, "..."

That was right, what Franklin said made sense. If he really couldn't let go of Emily, he wouldn't do anything to hurt Emily.

"If that's the case, then you should withdraw the case and let her go! It's been four years, and what should have gone is over. Why do you have to get her into trouble?" Avery advised.

Franklin said with calm eyes, "But it's not over for me. My resentment of her won't fade by time."

Avery frowned and smiled bitterly after a while before asking, "Franklin, do you still hate what happened back then, hate all of us?"

"No. You can go out first! I'm busy." Franklin suddenly ordered her to leave.

Avery smiled bitterly, as he always behaved like this when she talked about this.

"Okay. I'll go first." Avery stood up and left.

When she went out and saw Lisa coming to deliver the documents, she hesitated for a moment and said to her, "Lisa, long time no see."

Lisa saw her and hurriedly smiled and greeted, "Miss Lewis, long time no see. Are you here for Mr. Brent?"
