Hello, Mr. Brent novel Chapter 233

Franklin neither agreed nor disagreed. He just looked at her with a sullen gaze and said nothing.

Emily was finally defeated by his gaze and said helplessly, "Okay. Fine. I'll just go shopping with you. I really don't know that you even like to go shopping."

One shall know that he didn't like to go shopping four years ago. Let alone ask him to go shopping with her, even if she went shopping and asked him to pick her up, he was not likely to be happy to do that!

Sure enough, a lot of things had changed in the past four years, and he had changed into a totally different person.

But Franklin didn't know what she was complaining about. Seeing that she agreed, he happily took her to go shopping.

The two of them went to a new mall in the city center. Because of its better location and it was a newly-opened one, many people went here to go shopping although most of the things here were products of big brands which could hardly be afforded by ordinary people.

But since it didn't cost them money to look at the things here, a lot of people came here.

Franklin took Emily to go shopping on one floor after another. Behind them were the two bodyguards who could help carry things. Unlike four years ago, Emily dared to spend his money when she was shopping now. So when she saw something she liked, she bought it without any hesitation.

However, Franklin still looked very happy and would give her a comment from time to time.

Although he looked down on most of the things here, he would ask people to pay if she wanted them.

After going shopping on three floors, the two bodyguards had got their hands full. Emily took a look at things she bought which were carried by the bodyguards. Then, she said mercifully, "Let's find a place to drink something and let them put these things in the car first!"

Franklin nodded and asked Emily, "What do you want to drink?"

Emily thought about it and pointed to the Starbucks next to them, "Go there and have coffee!"

Franklin nodded and followed her in.

After entering, Franklin found a table and sat down, waiting for someone to bring over the coffee.

Emily was speechless. She sighed and stood up. She walked over to queue up, ordered two cups of coffee, and brought them over.

"Have you never been to a place like this?" Emily asked.

Franklin's face froze, but he still nodded and said, "Yes, it's my first time here."

"How rich are you? What about when you were still a student? Didn't people say that the children of rich families would be like the child of ordinary people when they went to school? Are you a man who is so different from others?" Emily teased.

She remembered that Lucas had told her before that even though his family was rich, he was still the same as everyone else when he went to school. But he studied in a private primary and junior high school first. After that, he entered a key high school and then went abroad to receive high education.

So he knew the usual dating process, and he could even do things like cooking.

Moreover, he told her that many children from rich families could actually endure hardship. They may even endure more than those from poor families. Because the elders in the family would deliberately train them to suffer some hardships, so that they knew that happiness was not easy to get. Unless they were that kind of children who were pampered by their mother. While basically, this kind of children would not be able to achieve much when they grew up.

But Franklin shouldn't be like that kind of person. One could know that just by looking at his figure.

He looked thin when he wore clothes while he looked strong when he was naked. He was no different from the man four years ago. Apart from years of constant physical exercise, she really didn't expect anything else to be able to keep a person in such a good shape for such a long time.

"I hadn't been to school officially. I'd always been taught by private teachers," Franklin said faintly.

Emily was speechless.

The corners of her mouth twitched. Poverty almost limited her imagination. She didn't expect that things could go on like this.
