Hello, Mr. Brent novel Chapter 253

Franklin came back and didn't raise any hopes that Emily would be willing to talk to him.

After all, when he left, Emily behaved like that. Looking at the stillness and despair in Emily's eyes, his blood turned icy. His heart suddenly cooled down and he was not in the least bit emotional. Then he got out of the bed and left.

But after he left, Emily's eyes kept haunting him, which made him scared. He had to call Lisa and ask her to come over and take care of Emily, so that Emily wouldn't do anything stupid.

He didn't want to come back at night, but he really worried her, so he had to come back and enter home very late. He wondered if she had already fallen asleep. It would be best if she had fallen asleep, so he didn't have to face her.

But unexpectedly, when he opened the door and went in, he saw the bedside light on.

Emily was sitting at the head of the bed reading. When she saw him come in, she should put down the book and smile brightly at him.

Franklin was in a daze and felt as if he was dreaming. He looked at Emily in disbelief.

Emily had already gotten out of bed and said to Franklin with a smile, "You're back. Why did you come back so late? Are you busy with work? If you're busy, let others share the burden. The company is so big, how can it only rely on you? It's bad to get tired. By the way, I asked the maid to stew the bird's-nest, it's still hot in the kitchen, I'll bring it over to you to nourish your body."

After that, Emily ran downstairs.

Franklin blinked again and pinched his face. Was he dreaming?

"Hiss."

It hurt. It was not a dream. It was true.

But why did Emily suddenly change her attitude greatly? She smiled at him and would like to bring him the food.

Could there be arsenic in the bird's-nest, and she was trying to poison him to death?

"Hmph." Franklin smiled bitterly.

If there was really arsenic in the bird's nest, but she brought it herself, he would gladly drink it. Even if he died immediately, he would enjoy it. Perhaps death was also a relief.

But, he was a little unwilling. How would Emily live if he died? Let her live with another man forever? At the thought of this possibility, his heart was filled with hatred.

"Hey, Lisa, what did you say to Emily today?" Franklin was silent for a moment and took out his phone to call Lisa.

If he asked Emily, she wouldn't say anything. But it didn't matter, because she only met Lisa today.

"Oh, maybe Miss Johnson suddenly relieved." Lisa chuckled and outlined what happened today.

Franklin curled his lips when he heard this. When he hung up the phone, Emily pushed the door open and came in.

He quietly threw his phone aside and reached out to take the bird's-nest from Emily's hand, "Have you eaten it? You've been working hard these days, and you're not in good health. You should also take some to replenish your body."

"I'm fine. You eat first!" Emily said gently and virtuously.

Franklin ate two mouthfuls with a spoon, but then put the spoon to Emily's mouth for her to eat.

Emily was stunned, then opened her mouth and ate it.

Franklin scooped up another spoonful and fed it to her as if he really enjoyed doing so.

Unknowingly, a large bowl was eaten by Emily herself. Franklin called for a servant to come up and take the dishes out. Then he took Emily's hand and went to the bathroom together.

"I've taken a shower. There's no need to do it again." When Emily saw that he had dragged herself to the bathroom, she still shivered and shook her head to refuse.
