Daniel went upstairs. Lisa had already told Emily about Mrs Williams' reaction.
Emily was out of breath after hearing this and she rolled about happily on the bed.
Lisa shook her head helplessly and said, "You're really capable. Fortunately, Mrs. Brent left. Otherwise, she would have died of anger because of you."
"I did it for Daniel's own good." Emily argued.
Daniel pushed the door open and said, "Yes, you did it for my own good. Do you know that my mother is really angry? My uncle and the others are coming tomorrow. I'm afraid they'll have to talk to you personally."
"Your uncle? He doesn't beat people up, does he?" Emily immediately asked in horror.
"He will not beat you up. But he will enlighten you with reason and make you moved with emotion. Everything will be okay as long as you can resist it."
"As long as he doesn't beat me up, just talk. I'm not afraid!" Emily said indifferently.
Lisa whispered in her ear, telling her the identity of the uncle of Daniel. Then Emily widened her eyes in disbelief and said, "No way! It's him?"
Lisa nodded hard, "It's him, so you have to be mentally prepared."
Emily. "..."
"Daniel, your uncle is such a big shot!" Emily said in a sobbing tone.
It was someone she often saw on the News Channel. Would she become afraid before such a big shot came and talked to her?
Daniel curled his lips and said, "That's why you have to be mentally strong enough. But fortunately, no matter how powerful he is, he is still my uncle. He won't do anything to you. You can deal with him as long as you treat him with half of the imposing manner you had when you talked to my mom."
Emily pursed her lips and suddenly felt that she had caused a big trouble. She didn't know if this trouble would implicate Franklin, so she quickly took out her cell phone and sent him a WhatsApp message with a regretful meme.
Franklin was in a meeting when he suddenly heard his phone ring twice.
He didn't receive the WhatsApp message before, so he didn't know what happened.
When he clicked on the message, he found out that it was from Emily. The emoji sent with the message was so funny that Franklin couldn't help but laugh.
So he took his phone and sent her a message. "Don't be afraid. I'm here."
After sending it, he thought about it and quickly found the place where emojis were. He selected an emoji of touching a bunny's head and sent it to Emily.
Franklin had always been serious in meetings and never stopped halfway.
This was the first time he looked at his phone during a meeting and laughed.
Seeing his bright smile, everyone was immediately stunned. It turned out that the cold and strict president in their mind actually had such a cute side.
"Ahem. Boss, what are you looking at? You actually laughed." A man who had a close relationship with Franklin and happened to be his cousin coughed and asked.
The others were also all ears, and they were very eager to know what Franklin had seen since it actually made Franklin laugh like this. The soul of gossip was burning in her heart. Gossip was not only a woman's exclusive behavior but also a man's.
"Nothing. Someone sent me a WhatsApp message. I think the emoji sent with the message is very cute." Franklin answered in complete detail.
His cousin was shocked and it took him a long time to react.
