Asher’s birthday is tomorrow and I don’t know why but I am having a really bad feeling about it. There is this nagging feeling about tomorrow that I can’t really place. Am I thinking too much? But it feels like something is breaking inside me. Am I overreacting? That must be the case. I mean what bad could happen on my boyfriend’s birthday. It’s a happy day. I should just celebrate it. It doesn’t matter if I am not with him. I can still celebrate from here. He will understand. Will he? Geez snap out of it. It’s going to be just fine.
These past few days have been…. well weird would be a right word. Steven was actually home all these days and Austin was with him. I didn’t think he would listen to Cassidy. He did bring some girls home but he was still here. Weird, isn’t it? Well both flats are one bedroom so whenever Steven was in action, which was almost all the time, Austin would be seen outside in the hallway or downstairs. Where do Steven even get these many girls to sleep with? Is he an escort or something? He must be reeking with STD. Well it’s none of my business.
We invited Austin in our apartment a couple times when we were home. At first he denied but he came in eventually. He is really fun to be with. He would help us around the house. He is even eating dinner with us for two days. Steven, well he is in his own world and I prefer it that way. The only thing he does whenever he looks at me is glare and his nose is scrunched up in disgust. It feels like I rolled in something smelly whenever I am in his presence. Well back at you buddy. I am not a fan of you either.
After dinner, Austin went back to Steven’s apartment and Aaron and I were off to bed. I have taken tomorrow off of work just so I can atleast talk to Asher without being in a rush. Tomorrow being Sunday, Cassidy and Grayson will be back by the evening. Aaron is going to work but is coming back at two. He was like ‘I will disappear if I work anymore’. His words not mine. Both of us have been so busy with classes and work that we didn’t get to talk to our mates properly since we arrived here. Tomorrow we will be focusing just on our other halves. With that thought in my mind, I closed my eyes drowning Aaron’s loud snores.
I woke up to the sun shining on my face from the window. I jolted up and checked my phone. It’s eight forty in the morning. I climbed down the top bunk to find Aaron sleeping with his mouth open in a very weird position. The sunlight did not even faze him. I shook him to wake him up but he swatted by hand and turned over continuing his slumber. I went to the bathroom smirking to myself and filled a bucket with water. I tip toed back to our bedroom and poured the entire bucket full on his face. He jumped out of the bed blubbering like he was drowning till his eyes fell on my bucket carrying self, sending me a glare.
“Oops.” I whispered acting innocent.
“YOU….” he bellowed.
Before he could say anything or catch me I dashed outside the bedroom, Aaron hot on my tail.
“COME BACK HERE AMY.” He shouted making me run even faster.
Suddenly a pillow smacked me right on the back of my head and I fell flat on my face with my famous unlady like shriek. That bitch.
“Oops.” He said mimicking me and started laughing at me. “You should have seen your face when I smacked you. That was the funniest thing ever.” He continued cackling like a hyena.
I will let him go this time. I did start this anyways. I have a call to make in the first place.
“I will start with the breakfast.” Aaron said grinning at me. He is enjoying himself too much. I will get back at you in due time. “Go call your boyfriend.”
I got up from my embarrassing defeated position and went to the bedroom to get my phone. I dialed Asher’s number and waited for him to pick up. Well he didn’t on the first call. I called him again and he picked up this time.
“Hey Asher. Happy Birthday.” I said smiling to myself.
“Thanks baby.” He said gruffly. He must be still sleeping.
“So how you been?” I asked.
“Good I guess. Been busy with work and pack stuff a lot.”
“Yeah Aaron told me about the vampires. It’s going to be alright.”
“I hope so too. So don’t you have work today?” he said quite snappily. Ouch!
“Nah I took a day off so I can talk to you without having to rush. How about you?”
“I am going to party with my friends in the evening.”
