Her Majesty novel Chapter 29

I smiled like a fool. Amanda gently came to me, holding my arm and asked in concerned, “Justin, are you all right?”

I looked blankly at Amanda and said to her, “I am fine. I felt happy for the first time since Grace died. Hahaha.”

Though I was smiling, my tears were falling down.

"Justin!” Amanda felt distressed and held me into her arms.

The setting sun slanted down on us, and our shadows fell into one.

Ben coughed deliberately, which made us apart.

Ben touched the back of his head and said worriedly, “Justin, we have offended John Jiang, he will retaliate to me."

I thought for a moment and said, "There's no use being afraid. Even if we don't provoke him, he will kill us all with his character. Now that his son hasn't been released, I don't think he will act rashly."

Ben nodded and said, “I hope so.”

But I did not feel relieved, asked Ben to arrange a bodyguard for Amanda, and called Emma to be careful.

Five days later, I and Ben were talking about the development zone while drinking, his phone suddenly rang up. Ben answered the phone, looking bad.

I felt there was something wrong, whispered to him, “Ben, is there something wrong?"

Ben put down the mobile phone and said crestfallenly, “I'm sorry, Justin, something happened to Amanda.”

“What!” I jumped up, the most worried thing finally happened. In the city and I only had a feud with the Jiang family, it was certainly John did something to hurt Amanda.

"What's going on?" I asked in a hushed voice.

Ben impatiently took a cigarette and took a puff before he said, “Today, Paul accompanied Miss Amanda to meet customers. On their way back, they were ambushed. Paul was seriously injured and now was in the hospital. Amanda was caught. Damn it, it must be John. I can't forgive him."

Ben hit the wall hard. I said, “Don't mind so much, go to see your man first, after all, he had an accident because of Amanda."

"Ok." Ben nodded, and threw mercilessly the cigarette butt on the ground.

We rushed to the hospital and found a few brothers had been there. Paul was covered with gauze lying on the bed. When he saw Ben, he said in guilty, “Ben, Sorry, I failed to protect Miss Amanda."

Ben gently patted his shoulder and said, “It is ok, take care of yourself. Paul, rest assured, your blood will not flow in vain."
