Her Majesty novel Chapter 35

After two days in bed, I was almost ready to walk.

I asked Amanda to help me to see Ben. He had now been able to open his eyes and speak, but he was still in poor health. He needed to take a rest after saying a few words.

On the third day, a very special woman came to our villa.

This woman didn't look like a domestic woman. Her features were relatively deep and her skin was not as fair as that of domestic women. She looked a bit like a Southeast Asian, and she was thin. But I could not forget her at my first sight.

Her eyes were neither charming nor sharp, but indifferent, like a robot, as if devoid of human feeling.

As soon as she got close to me, I felt my hair stand on end as if the leopard was stalking me.

The friends of Ben seemed to be afraid of this woman. They did not pay attention after seeing her, stood up and greeted, “Scarlet.”

That woman slightly nodded, and then she looked at me, said to me with a blunt national language, “Excuse me, are you a friend of Ben, Justin?"

I was immediately a little flattered. How would a foreign girl know my name?

I repressed my inner excitement and held out a hand and said with a smile, "Hello, my name is Justin. Ben is my good friend."

That woman ignored me and continued to say, “My name is Scarlet, a friend of Ben. I come to protect you."

She was cool and came straight to the point. She was confident that she could protect the wounded in our room. I couldn't help but be interested in this woman.

I withdrew my hand in embarrassment, said with a smile, “Thank you. Well, do you have a meal? Do you need me to ask for a takeaway?"

"No, I had a meal already. Where is Ben now? I want to see him." Scarlet said calmly.

"I'll take you there. He'll be glad to see you." I tried to deal with this woman in my businesslike way and made sure I make a good impression on her.

I didn't want to hit on her. It was just a professional habit.

However, the woman only nodded, which made me feel a little frustrated.

I took her to Ben’s room. The woman looked at the injury of Ben, turned to me and said, “Can I be alone with Ben for a while?"

I knew it was an obvious departure. With an embarrassing smile, I turned and walked out, and the door tightly locked.

I did not go far to but stood at the door in case of any accident. Although the friends of Ben all knew her, but I did not rule out the possibility that she would secretly hurt Ben. In case of Ben calling for help, I could rush in to save him.

The house was quiet, without any noise. I lied prone to the door gap to look inside. Ben had woken up half leaning on the bed, the woman sat opposite Ben, talking with him.

I breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that I had been overthinking.

I shook my head and went to the sitting room. I was guessing the relationship between Scarlet and Ben. Could they be couples? Good for Ben that he could have a foreigner as his girlfriend.
