Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 5

In the meeting room.

Kennedy entered the room, followed by Charlotte; everyone in the room was astonished to see her behind him.

Everyone knew that Nathan was the only one to serve Kennedy all these years. Now that a woman appeared at his side out of nowhere, everyone was guessing what relationship this woman had with him.

This was not the first time Charlotte worked as an assistant, but she had never witnessed such a grand occasion before. Moore Group’s meeting room was extremely spacious. After all, Moore Group was the top leading group in North City.

As soon as she entered the room, Charlotte felt a strong sense of tension in the room. Feeling the stress, Charlotte could feel her shoulders tensed up unconsciously upon receiving all kinds of gaze from the others as she entered behind Nathan and Kennedy.

When they stopped walking, everyone fixed their gaze on Charlotte.

“President Moore, she is…”

Manfred was Moore Group’s vice president, so it was inevitable that he would join the meeting. At this moment, he felt surprised seeing Charlotte too.

Charlotte grabbed the corner of her shirt anxiously to calm herself down. She gradually raised her head and found a gentle look among all the curious gaze from the others.

It was Manfred.

As both of their eyes met, Manfred gave Charlotte a warm smile and nodded at her.

At this time, Charlotte felt her nervousness eased by his smile, and she puckered a smile at Manfred.

Charlotte thought that Manfred was indeed a gentle and kind person.

Despite it being small and insignificant actions, Kennedy noticed them.

A coldness flashed across his eyes, and he squinted his sharp eyes as he replied, “Care worker.”

“Huh?” Everyone was dumbfounded to hear his answer.

What does he mean by care worker?

Even Charlotte was confused herself.

“President Moore, who did you say she was?”

Kennedy’s pupils were as dark as night. He slightly raised his brow and answered the one who asked the question, “My grandfather has hired a care worker to take care of my daily needs.”

Listening to such mean and awful remarks, Charlotte’s face turned pale gradually and lowered her gaze to look at Kennedy.

I’m here to be your assistant. Since when did I become your care worker?

“Coffee.” While she was still in a daze, Kennedy ordered coldly.

Charlotte was still rooted to the spot. She only reacted to the order when Nathan signaled her, thereupon she quickly left the meeting room to make coffee.

When she came back with the coffee, the meeting had already started. Then, she placed the coffee in front of Kennedy.

After taking a sip, Kennedy frowned and commented, “Too sweet! Another!”
