Seeing Abigail insist, Jacob thought about it and nodded. "Okay, you win. I won't do anything to him," Jacob said.
He didn't want to upset Abigail.
Abigail's face relaxed into a smile. "I know you're worried about me, but it's over. I don't want you to be bothered by it and do anything for me," Abigail said.
Jacob nodded. "Okay, as you wish."
Abigail was relieved.
They chatted for a while before Jacob left.
"Have a good rest at home. Call me if you need anything," he said.
Abigail nodded.
As soon as he left, Abigail threw herself on the sofa. After chatting for so long, she was a little sleepy. So, she went straight to bed.
She didn't wake up until the afternoon.
Her phone was on the nightstand and had been placed in silent mode. She took it over as she usually did after waking up. Tina's call happened to come in at this time.
Abigail picked it up without hesitation.
"Hello..."
"Abigail, why didn't you answer your phone?" Tina shouted immediately after she got through.
"What's wrong?" Abigail asked lazily. She'd just woken up and still felt drowsy.
"Do you know how many calls I've made to you? You didn't answer any of them," Tina roared.
Abigail answered apologetically, "I was sleeping and my phone is in silent mode. I didn't hear your calls."
"I've been so worried," Tina said.
