Chapter 134 You Call Me Daddy?
Twenty minutes later, a helicopter landed perfectly. The twins immediately rushed out. They ran towards Kara who had spread her arms, ready to greet them.
“Little Angels,” she said.
However, the sound of the propellers was too loud to beat. She brought the twins in then leveled her gaze again.
“Little Bee, why are you crying?” Kara stroked Emily's chubby cheeks. Her tiny red nose kept running water.
Unexpectedly, Emily's sobs only got louder. She shook her head, unable to come up with an answer.
Kara then turned to her son. Louis apparently also pouted. His eyes were red and swollen. It was clear that he was trying to hold back tears.
“Honey, are you okay?”
Louis shook his head too. “Are you okay, Mommy? Mommy must be very scared and sad," he said hoarsely.
Suddenly, Emily came back into Kara's arms. “Mommy, I'm sorry. I promise I won't cry anymore. I won't be a whiny or naughty child, but please call Daddy. He just came back to us. How can he be missing again?”
Hearing his sister's outpouring of emotions, tears finally fell from Louis' eyes. His sobs broke. With one arm, he hugged his mother too.
“Mommy, I don’t want to be naughty anymore. I'll be nice to Mister Harper. I promise I won't be grumpy again. Now I just want him back.”
Hearing those heartbreaking sayings, Kara put so many emotions into her smile. The twins had always built high wall between them and Frank Harper. But it turned out, they were also afraid of losing him?
“Little Angels,” Kara rubbed the backs of her two children, “can you stop crying? Mommy has something to show you."
Jeremy, who was standing nearby, spontaneously raised his eyebrows. Reading Kara's expression, he gasped. He was too busy taking care of the twins that he didn't have time to check the latest news.
“He’s here?” he asked through mouth movements.
Kara smiled slightly and nodded.
"Mommy," Louis let go of the embrace and sobbed in front of his mother, "I know we promised not to cry. I was actually holding back my sadness well. But, when I was in the helicopter, I looked down. The sea is very dark and wide. I'm afraid Mister Harper won't be found again.”
Before Emily could react or Louis could spread more fear, Kara quickly spoke, “Hey, where's the brave Louis?”
Louis patted his chest. “Still here, but I'm really scared, Mommy. Can the rescue team find him?”
Kara smiled faintly. With teary eyes, he grabbed Louis and Emily's hands. “Come on, let’s calm yourselves. You won't be able to think straight if your heart is in a mess like this.”
She secretly hoped that the doctor had finished putting Frank’s arm in a sling. Her heart was pounding hard as they walked towards the elevator.
Who would have thought, the surprise came earlier. As the elevator doors opened, the twins gasped. Their cries turned silent and their eyeballs were shaking. The man they were waiting for was smiling in front of them with teary eyes!
“Hello, Kids.”
The twins' lips trembled again. A second later, their cries continued with a different meaning.
Hearing the assistant's voice, Frank looked up. After a smile, he nodded meaningfully. “Thank you for looking after my children and bringing them here.”
“This was Young Master Louis' idea. He was the one who urged me to prepare the helicopter. He wants to meet his father.”
Frank raised the corners of his lips again. After kissing Louis' head, he pressed his cheek against it.
“By the way, Sir ... the helicopter is still standby outside. Do you want to go home or …?”
Kara and the twins loosened their embrace. Stifling the remaining sobs, they waited for Frank's answer.
“We came to this ship to attend Finnic and Sophia's wedding. If we go now, wouldn't that be rude?”
Emily nodded slowly, but her eyebrows furrowed. “But, we just met. Do we have to separate again this fast?”
“No, Princess.” Frank stroked her cheek. “You don't have to go home now. You can stay overnight on this ship. Let’s attend the party together tomorrow.”
Louis' eyes got widened. Even though they were swollen, his enthusiasm still radiated. "Is it a short vacation?"
Emily's lips pursed. “Louis, does your brain only think about having fun? What is important is we are together. If we're here, we can stay close to Mommy and Daddy."
"I know it! That’s why I’m sure this vacation will feel twice as fun, because we do it with Mommy and Daddy!" Louis stretched his arm.
While the others laughed, Emily puffed out her cheeks. Something was still stuck in her heart. “I like that idea, but we have one problem. How can we attend the party, Louis? We didn't bring clothes. My gown and crown are still in the wardrobe.” Emily held her hair which was not decorated with anything. A second later, she gasped. Her eyes widened to the max. “Oh no .... Yemon! I forgot to bring him.”
