The next Day

Author's p.o.v

Devika is sitting beside a window and looking outside aimlessly. Her face is having a longing expression. Her eyes are moist remembering something.

Today is a public holiday and she doesn't have to go to college for taking classes. Arushi came to her apartment a few moments ago to take the kids. Actually, Ruhani ma wanted to meet the kids. She wanted to come but she couldn't as she is very ill. She told Arushi to bring the kids to her.

" He is really guilty," Devika's subconscious said reminding her about Abhinav.

Devika thought for a few moments and remembered everything from the very first. She remembered everything that happened to her. She also remembered her mother and those horrible sins of her mother.

Whatever happened with her and Abhinav are horrible. They don't deserve this type of life. Devika's mother is responsible for their condition.

Behind Abhinav's cruel behaviour with Devika, Bhabani is more responsible than Abhinav. Because of her selfishness, Abhinav and Devika suffered a lot.

" Should I forgive him? He is really guilty," Devika asked herself. She is in a total dilemma. She isn't understanding her feelings for Abhinav.

" Do I love him?" Devika asked herself and remembered last night's incident. She remembered how Abhinav cried hugging her and she also cried hugging him.

This time Devika's subconscious said to her," He has suffered enough. Give him a chance. He is not that beast anymore. You have punished him enough."

Devika is still battling with her subconscious when her phone started ringing. She took the phone in her and found that Arnav is calling her. She wondered why Arnav is calling her now.

Devika received the call and said," Hello."

" Devika.....Abhi bhai........" Arnav said in a panicked voice and Devika become alerted immediately.

She stood up and asked worriedly," What happened to Abhinav?"

" A few moments ago he has gotten into an accident and now he is in the hospital," Arnav informed Devika crying.

A scream left Devika's mouth hearing Arnav. She can't believe what she has heard. A sudden fear of losing Abhinav clouded her whole mind.

" Send me the hospital address. I am coming right now," Devika told Arnav with her panicked voice.

After few hours

At Hospital

" Mr Agnihotri has hurt his head badly. His condition is not that good. There is a possibility that he might fall into a coma," The doctor said to Devika, Arnav and Apeksha.

Their other family members will be here very soon. They are informed already about Abhinav's accident.

Devika asked the doctor crying," will he be ok? Please, doctor, tell me clearly".

" I hope he will be fine. We have to run some tests on him. After that, we will be sure that he will be fine or not, " The doctor replied and Devika closed her eyes. Tears are flowing from her eyes continuously.

Her subconscious said," How much he has to suffer!! Isn't it enough! This time Devika agreed with her subconscious.
