Shelly wavered at Courtney's words.

"Look, you are hesitating." Courtney studied Shelly's face. "Reconsider, Shelly!"

"Shelly, you are thinking too much. Your mom is recovering, right? Which means your dad can go back to work soon. Once he starts working again, they won't need you to support them." Courtney knew that Shelly was under a lot of stress and felt sorry for her. "I already told my parents that I want to start a business. They might give me some money to try. Once I have the money, we will open a cafe, and you can leave your child in the cafe. We can take care of the baby together!" Courtney said. "Don't be so pessimistic, Shelly! My parents started out with nothing, and my mom ran around with my dad looking for business partners when she was pregnant with me. It was hard, but not as hard as you think it is."

"If I choose to give birth to the baby, I will have to tell my parents about it. My parents won't accept it," Shelly said.

"But you haven't even tried telling them, have you? Why don't you tell them now, and see how they react?"

Shelly was sweating profusely. "I don't dare tell them, Courtney. I can't imagine how disappointed they are going to be... I've never done anything out of line ever in my life, and I'm afraid that they might not be able to stand it..."
