"In that case, have a meeting and discuss it! If they want to take control, you can always turn them down," Ivy suggested.

Caspian looked at Lucas. "How about I schedule a meeting with the investors to come to our company for a chat?"

"Go ahead!" Lucas agreed.

Caspian nodded and left the office.

Once the door closed, Ivy immediately praised Lucas. "You're amazing! Your company may be small, but investors are coming to you! That means your products are fantastic!"

"Our company's products haven't even officially launched yet," Lucas clarified.

Ivy fell quiet.

"Back at university, I made a few games and sold them to other companies," Lucas explained.

"Oh, so they must have recognized your talent then! Mr. Woods, you're truly incredible for making money while still in college. Your dad must be very proud!" Ivy complimented.

Lucas was enjoying Ivy's flattery until she mentioned his father. His expression turned cold, and Ivy quickly realized her mistake. "I'm sorry, Mr. Woods. I meant to say your mom must be very proud!"

"Do you know that my dad and I have a bad relationship?" Lucas questioned.

"Well, it's not exactly a secret. You're the illegitimate child of the Woods family, and your dad took you in when you were an adult. Although he didn't treat you terribly, he didn't raise you. He's not a qualified father," Ivy replied.

"Don't mention him in front of me again," Lucas said firmly.
