Tobias arrived at the hospital within a record-breaking time. He rushed towards the receptionist, asking about Celestine's condition.
"Miss White's room is located on the seventh floor. Room number 26." The receptionist replied, informing him that the doctors were still with her as her condition was still a bit unstable and her visitors would have to wait a bit.
"I see, thank you." With that said, Tobias turned on his heels and made his way towards the elevator, his steps full of purpose and his mind a jumble mess.
What the hell had possessed Celestine to do such a thing?
He hadn't the faintest idea.
But he really hoped she was okay and would recover from this without any serious issues, because only then could they treat or face whatever had pushed her to take such a drastic action.
When he arrived on the seventh floor, Tobias was quick to locate the room.
Fiona, who was seated in the hallway, noticed him instantly and the moment she saw his face, her frowns deepened.
"Brother," She whispered and rushed into his arms, seeking comfort. When she pulled back, she examined his face and noticed the slight bruises. “W-what happened to your face?”
"Its nothing.” Tobias swatted off her concern like he did to the thoughts of Helios being around Amara. “Have you spoken to the doctors yet?" He asked, his tone was calm and controlled despite his raging emotions.
Fiona shook her head. "They're still examining Celeste," She glanced back in the direction of Celestine's room and released a shaky breath. "God, I should have seen the signs... I should have..." She choked on the rest of her words and buried her face in her brother’s shirt.
Tobias sighed and gently patted her back. "Don't blame yourself. Everything's gonna be okay." He glanced at Celestine's room and muttered. "Why I heaven’s name would she do something like this?"
"I found messages on her phone.” Fiona stated, her words aiming to answer Tobias’s question. Seeing as Fiona was the one who had found Celestine, Tobias listened closely. “They all had awful and threatening words." She confessed and when she pulled away, there were tears in her eyes. "Those messages were so full of hatred and spite. I couldn't believe someone would write such terrible words, especially to someone as sweet as Celeste." She clenched her fist. "I'm sure Amara was the one who sent those messages."
Tobias’s eyes narrowed. “What?”
“Isn’t it obvious? That bitch is annoyed that you divorced her to be with Celeste, so she’s now trying to ruin Celeste’s life by sending her threats.” Fiona reasoned. “I’m positive it was her. If not that bitch, them who else would-“
“Enough,” Tobias suddenly interrupted her, sounding irritated by the sound of her constant yapping. “Don’t you know what defaming is? If you keep running your mouth pointlessly without evidence, don’t you know that can get you into serious trouble?”
