Chapter 12 

When faced with so many people, the little boy did not fright at all, instead, he took a few steps forward confidently. When he saw Lauren, his face turned red. 

Leo cheered himself up quietly. He told himself to be brave because he liked Lauren very much. 

Then Leo walked to Lauren with small steps, raised his head, and said in a serious tone, “Can I ask you to dance with me?” 

The whole room was immediately quiet. 

Everyone looked intently at the two people in the center. This scene was so special! 

It was inconvenient for Lauren to squat so she could only bend a little and then asked him, “What’s your name?” 

Leo introduced himself in a serious way, “My name is Leo. I am four and a half years old. And my father is Charlie Frank.” After saying that, he bit his lips and looked at Lauren with expectation, shyness, and happiness. 

Lauren’s heart suddenly softened. She stretched out her hand and said, “I’d love to.” 

The music started, and Lauren held Leo’s soft hand and danced with him slowly. People were kind of touched by such a warm scene, so they also started dancing. 

After dancing, Lauren found a seat to sit down with Leo. 

Leo was very curious about Lauren so he kept asking Lauren all kinds of questions, “You said that your name is Lauren.” “Yes,” Lauren nodded.. 

“Are you married?” Leo looked at Lauren nervously. 

Lauren was amused by Leo’s nervous face, and deliberately teased him, “Take a guess.” 

Leg shook his head and said, “I don’t think you are married.” 

“How do you know?” Lauren asked. 

Leo had a good reason and said, “If you are married, someone will dance with you tonight.” 

“Wow, you are clever!” Lauren rubbed his head. 

Leo liked his hair very much so and even his father and grandmother were not allowed to touch it at home. But he would allow Lauren to touch it. 

“Lauren,” Leo said to Lauren, “Are we friends now? You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. You can call me Leo and I really want to be your friend. If I miss you, will you come to see me?” 

Leo and Lauren had stayed with each other for a very long time. In the end, the driver of the Frank family stepped forward and said to Lauren, “I am sorry, Miss Bennett. Did Leo bother you much?”
