Summer sneered, "I don't expect it's you."
But it was understandable. Douglas was young and immature, and was not as cautious and intelligent as Leonardo, but he would never trust someone so easily.
Summer was deceived by Stanley back then. And Stanley was son to Lester. The son was so good at deceiving people, then the father would be only better than the son.
Moreover, the whole world thought Lester was dead. But in fact, he didn't.
Lester smiled, "Ms. Summer, don't be so surprised. We should have met a long time ago. But something unexpected happened, so I have to delay our meeting."
He paused for a while, as if he remembered something bad. He frowned and quickly recovered, "However, although it's a little late, it
doesn't matter."
"What do you mean we should have met a long time ago?" Summer asked him.
"It means that we are destined to meet." Lester looked at Summer with a very strange look. It looked like he wasn't looking at a person, but an item he took fancy to.
Summer related his strange look to the laboratory she was in. The combination of both unsettled her, and her face turned pale.
Lester was shrewd enough to notice the change of Summer's expression. He knew right away what she was thinking.
"Just like Stanley said, you are a very smart girl." As Lester spoke, he gestured someone to fetch him a chair.
Lester sat down beside Summer's bed, as if he wanted to have a long talk with her.
Summer had a guess, but she was not sure.
