A tall figure covered her body. Rachel had to look up, but was stunned.

'Clark? It's Clark.

Why is he here?' Rachel thought in the bottom of her heart.

Rachel was very shocked. She stared at him in a daze and could not come to herself for quite a while.

The lower part of Clark's body was wrapped in a bath towel, revealing his strong chest. His wheat skin and eight pack abs made him more attractive.

Drops of water dripped from his hair. His eyes were as sharp as eagle's.

Rachel hurriedly turned around and took two steps backward. She said in a trembling voice, "You..... Why are you here?"

"That's what I should ask you," Clark said coldly over her head.

Rachel was shocked and remembered that Amanda's home could not considered as Clark's home.

As a guest, how could she ask him why he was here?

"Well..." Embarrassed, Rachel quickly turned around and ran away. "I'm sorry to bother you. I'm leaving now!"

Suddenly, a big hand grabbed her wrist and said behind her in a cold voice, "Since you're here, why not take a seat?"

His husky voice was like a magic, making she unable to move an inch as if her feet were stuck by something.

She stood still, hearing her heart beating like thunder, and her mind was blank, as if she had lost the ability to think.

Letting go of her, Clark turned around and went back to his room. A moment later, he came out in a clean dress.

He walked to the couch, sat down, pointed at the opposite seat, and said to Rachel, "sit down."

With great difficulty, Rachel walked up to him and sat down slowly.

"How's everything going with the shooting?" Clark asked concisely.

"It's good. I can get used to it," Rachel whispered as she lowered her head.

Clark nodded and poured her a cup of tea.

The atmosphere was a little awkward and silent.

After thinking for a while, Rachel decided to find a topic to break the silence. So she said, "Tim invited us to dinner tonight. Since you have arrived in the United States, why haven't you had dinner with us?"

"I arrived ten minutes ago." Clark's face was expressionless, and his sharp eyes swept over her.

Stunned, Rachel asked, "Aren't you here to spend the holiday with Amanda?"

Clark didn't answer her question and kept silent.

At the mention of Amanda, Rachel finally realized that Amanda had disappeared for no reason!

"Well, where is Amanda? She sent me here just now, but when all of a sudden, I could not find her." Rachel could not help asking.

Taking a glance at her, Clark answered, "Just ignore her."

Hearing this, Rachel was even more confused.

First, Amanda found an excuse to stay in the US. Then Amanda took her here to her place. But Amanda disappeared and let her stay with Clark alone.
