Zane comforted Yanis and then headed downstairs to have Aunt Alice prepare some porridge.
"Mr. Lawrence, is Mrs. Lawrence not feeling well?" Aunt Alice asked.
Zane responded, "She vomited in the morning and didn't sleep well last night."
Upon hearing this, Aunt Alice hesitated and inquired, "Has Mrs. Lawrence missed her period this month?"
Only Bonnie and Phoebe knew about Yanis's pregnancy. This was why Aunt Alice guessed this way.
Zane had no intention of keeping it a secret and nodded in confirmation in a low voice.
"In that case, why don't you take Mrs. Lawrence to the hospital for a check-up? In case this…"
Aunt Alice didn't finish her sentence but left it to implication.
Zane didn't avoid the topic. "Yanis is pregnant and not feeling well."
Upon hearing this, Aunt Alice smiled and responded, "Let me prepare something with a bit of flavor for Mrs. Lawrence to eat."
Zane didn't fully understand the significance, but Aunt Alice's experience prompted him to nod, signaling her to proceed.
After arranging for Aunt Alice to prepare food for Yanis, Zane called Albi and informed him that he wouldn't be going to the company today. He mentioned that if there were any issues, Albi could contact Dylan.
Albi's response carried a tone of complaint, "Mr. Lawrence, why don't you just hand the company over to me?"
"That's a question for Yanis."
Albi suddenly remembered that all of Zane's shares and properties were under someone else's name now.
"In that case, I won't bother you."
Zane, as if remembering something, stopped Albi before he could hang up, "If he's not available, then find me."
Dylan had been going through a tough time recently due to the situation with Jo. If it weren't for Lisa being pushed to a certain point, she wouldn't have given Jo to Dylan willingly. Now that the situation was resolved, Lisa didn't want to leave Jo behind.
Lisa was skilled at flip-flopping her stance, and she wanted Jo to stay with Zane if she had to stay within the Lawrence family. She didn't want Jo to be with Dylan and Rachel.
Lisa had been calling Zane, but he had been avoiding her, and he hadn't answered her calls. She thought that the matter had ended. However, what surprised Zane was that Lisa brought Jo to his doorstep at eight o'clock.
Zane had just settled Yanis down to sleep when Aunt Gloria softly knocked on the door.
Glancing at the sleeping Yanis, Zane got up and walked to the door. "What's going on?"
Aunt Gloria, aware that Yanis was asleep, lowered her voice. "Mr. Lawrence, there's a Miss Lisa with a little boy outside. She says she wants to see you."
