I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 1089

Chapter 1089: But I'm More Worried About Him

Bonnie took Yanis and Zane to a nearby restaurant and ordered all of Yanis's favorite dishes.

As Bonnie was about to order more, Yanis stopped her by holding her hand. "What are you doing? Can we finish all of this?"

Bonnie glanced at Zane and whispered, "Don't you want to eat?"

Yanis hesitated for a moment.

Bonnie continued, "Are you sure you don't want to eat any of this? If you don't, I can cancel the order and get something else. We can follow your home recipes."

Yanis fell silent.

Bonnie persisted, "You must have some cravings. If you're not willing to eat, then I'll cancel it. Do you want me to order according to your family's recipes?"

Yanis conceded with a nod, pointing to the menu on the tablet. She whispered, "We'll have everything."

Suppressing a chuckle, Bonnie ordered the dishes Yanis wanted.

Zane didn't say much and focused on helping Yanis pick the food, serving her, and making sure she was well taken care of during the meal.

Watching them, Bonnie regretted her choice. Did she have nothing better to do?

Why did she even invite them to dinner?

Unable to tolerate it any longer, Bonnie scooped a mouthful of food for Yanis. "You're all grown up. Do you really need to be pampered like this? You're becoming too dependent!"

Yanis turned to Bonnie, gave her a glance, and then turned to Zane, asking seriously, "Do you pamper me?"

Zane removed the fish bones, picked up a piece of fish, and offered it to Yanis. "Yes, I do."

Bonnie sighed, "... This food is hard to swallow. If I ever dine with you two alone again, I'll... I'll just become a third wheel!"

After saying that, Bonnie took the food back from Yanis's bowl and bit into it, playfully imitating Yanis's eating style.

Yanis, feeling unusually open today, ate heartily, indulging in foods that Zane rarely allowed her to have.

After finishing the meal, Yanis felt a bit tired and bid farewell to Bonnie, intending to return home.

While Zane went to the restroom, Bonnie leaned over to Yanis and whispered, "He really loves you a lot now."

Yanis smiled, her eyes twinkling. "That just means I'm not petty."

Bonnie was a bit puzzled and turned to Yanis. "What do you mean?"

"If I were petty, based on his past behavior, he wouldn't even have a chance to show his affection now."

Bonnie suddenly understood. "Well, you're right. He used to keep a close watch on you. If it weren't for Neve's interference, you might already have three or four kids!"

Bonnie's words caught Yanis off guard. She was about to retort, but then she remembered what Robin had said earlier. Her words got stuck in her throat, and she ended up not responding.

It was all premeditated.

A mutual scheme.

Perhaps, that was the best way to explain the relationship between her and Zane.

Bonnie, unaware of Yanis's internal struggle, turned to Zane and said, "Take Yanis home. I need to meet with a client and then go check on Mles later."

Yanis nodded at Bonnie. "Sure, take care of your business."
