I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 1091

Chapter 1091: After All, Both People and Children Are Mine

Before getting into the car, Anika stopped and looked back. Her voice was soft as she said, "I don't want to come here anymore."

Iris reached out and embraced her, saying, "Alright, you won't have to come anymore."

Yanis reached out and gently rubbed Anika's head, murmuring, "Things will get better from now on."

Anika nodded and embraced Yanis back. "Thank you for your encouragement, sister-in-law."

Although Yanis didn't visit Anika frequently, she sent her messages every day.

Yanis patted Anika's back gently and said softly, "Take care and be good with Iris in the future."

Anika nodded. "Okay."

"Let's go have lunch at Banyan Garden later, my brother will treat us," Yanis said in a hushed voice as she let go of Anika.

Anika glanced at Zane's face and then nodded with a smile. "Sounds good!"

The distance from South Hospital to Banyan Garden was a bit far. By the time they arrived at the entrance, it was already getting dark outside.

Zane had arranged for a reservation at Banyan Garden in advance, so they didn't have to worry about not having a table.

Guided by the waiter, they were led directly to a private room.

Once they were seated, Yanis and Anika huddled together and ordered their dishes.

After placing their orders, Yanis looked at Zane and whispered, "I need to use the restroom."

Zane stood up as well. "I'll accompany you."

Yanis chuckled in a somewhat helpless manner. "It's just a few steps, I can go on my own."

"Brother, I'll go with sister-in-law. You stay here," Anika said as she stood up.

Zane glanced at Yanis and then nodded. "Take your time."

"Don't worry, I'll take care of sister-in-law," Anika replied and then led Yanis out of the private room.

As Yanis and Anika left, Iris lifted her eyes from her phone and glanced at Zane. She spoke softly with a hint of congratulations, "Congratulations."

Zane raised an eyebrow upon hearing Iris's words. He focused his gaze on her and asked, "Congratulations for what?"

Iris looked back at Zane with a smile. "Seems like your guard against me might be a bit unnecessary now?"

Zane gave her a faint look and retorted, "Who knows if you're just trying to take advantage?"

Iris couldn't help but chuckle at Zane's response. "If you put it that way, you'll have to guard against me for the rest of your life."

Zane glanced at Iris and then shifted his gaze away without saying anything more.

The two of them fell into a moment of silence.

Finally, Zane broke the silence. "How did you find out?"

"If I said I figured it out on my own, would you believe me?" Iris teased, her eyes fixed on Zane.

Zane locked eyes with Iris for a moment before averting his gaze and answering in a low voice, "Until things are completely settled, I don't want too many people to know."

Iris understood Zane's cautious approach, especially given the previous incidents that still sent shivers down their spines. It was only natural for him to be careful this time.

"You can trust me, I won't go around telling anyone," Iris assured.

"It's not like you would even if I allowed it," Zane replied.

Iris looked at him curiously.

Zane casually remarked, "After all, both people and children are mine."
