I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 1092

Chapter 1092: You Look Good No Matter What

Yanis gazed at Zane, who was crouching before her. Her lips curved into a slight smile, and without hesitation, she moved forward and settled herself on Zane's back.

Zane carried her upstairs and directly into the bathroom. "Stand here," he instructed.

Yanis steadied herself. "Zane."

"Yeah?" Zane looked at her.

Rising on her tiptoes, Yanis leaned in and pecked Zane. "You're really sweet."

Zane met her gaze, his eyes growing deeper. However, considering the late hour, he didn't linger on the sentiment. He turned and gestured toward the clothes laid out on the side table. "I've got your pajamas ready. Take your time, and let me know if you need anything."

Yanis nodded. "Sure."

Zane turned and left the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Yanis stood there and couldn't help but chuckle. She had observed Zane's reaction earlier, and his patience hadn't gone unnoticed.

Thinking about Zane's recent restraint, her smile deepened. She knew she had to endure it due to her current condition.

After her shower, Yanis stepped out of the bathroom and found Zane by the bedside, busy with his notebook.

Upon hearing her approach, Zane looked up, closed his laptop, and got off the bed. He reached for the towel in Yanis's hand, drying her hair. Then he turned to find a hairdryer.

By the time her hair was dry, Yanis had already nestled herself in Zane's embrace, half-asleep.

Setting aside the hairdryer, Zane lifted her up and gently placed her on the bed. Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to her forehead before tidying up a few things. Once settled back on the bed, he extended his arms and pulled her close.

...

Sandy and Brandon's plans were quickly arranged.

The engagement ceremony wasn't going to be a grand affair; only close friends and family from the Hawkins family were invited. On Sandy's side, Stella was the sole guest.

Initially, Yanis had intended to attend, but due to business matters, she had to forgo the event. Since the wedding was scheduled in advance, she planned to make it up by arriving early for the occasion.

Over the phone, Sandy expressed a hint of disappointment, "Well, make sure you come a day ahead for the wedding."

Yanis promised, "Of course, we'll be there ahead of time."

With Yanis's assurance, Sandy's tone brightened. "Alright, I better get back to my tasks then."

"Take care," Yanis replied.

"You too."

After ending the call, Sandy turned around just in time to see Brandon entering the room. She placed her phone down and rushed to him. "Why are you back so soon?"

Brandon had gone to inform the Hawkins family's close relatives about the engagement, as per the local customs. Since the engagement required the couple to personally invite their close relatives, Brandon, Kason, and Maya had left early in the morning.

Aunt Bruton had mentioned that it would likely take until noon to finish all the visits.

However, it was only ten o'clock, and Brandon had already returned.

"Big Brother and Sister-in-law went ahead, so they didn't need me," Brandon said, removing his coat and placing it aside. He then looked at Sandy. "Did you have breakfast?"

Sandy nodded, "I had breakfast with Auntie. I ate a lot."

Brandon grabbed his clothes, "Change your outfit. I'm taking you somewhere."
