I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 1119

Chapter 1119: Wanting to Earn More Money

Listening to Reed's words, Sandy hesitated, not quite sure how to respond.

"It's okay," Reed said as he noticed Sandy's silence. He reached out and lightly patted Sandy's arm, showing a reassuring smile.

Sandy managed a smile back at Reed before finally speaking up, "Do you have any plans for the future?"

Considering Reed's age, he should be in college under normal circumstances, but due to his current situation, he had to enter the workforce prematurely.

Upon hearing Sandy's question, Reed fell silent for a moment before answering, "I don't know. I haven't figured out what I want to do yet."

"You should be in school at your age," Sandy continued, turning her gaze to Reed. "Do you want to go back to school?"

Reed shook his head. "I'd better not. It's not suitable for me now."

As time goes by, certain thoughts may fade away without much consideration. This applied to Reed as well. Once the age for certain activities has passed, the urgency to pursue them diminishes.

"Actually, if you want to, you can still pursue it," Sandy said softly.

Reed shook his head again. "It's alright. I'm not really interested."

Before, when Yang Juan was still around, Reed used to envy people like Natasha, who were in school. However, after experiencing life and death situations, he had come to appreciate a stable and peaceful life. So, the idea of returning to school didn't hold much appeal to him, and he even felt a bit resistant to it.

While they had found their footing in Manches City, it was largely due to Yanis, Zane, and Bonnie that they could settle down in this environment. Sandy wanted to ease some of the burden on Mitch, aiming for them to survive on their own terms in this new environment.

Therefore, she wanted to do something more meaningful.

"Do you have anything you want to do?" Sandy asked, looking at Reed with curiosity.

"Nothing in particular," Reed replied.

After a pause, Reed continued, "If I were to think about it, I'd want to earn more money so that my brother can have a slightly easier life."

Upon hearing Reed's words, Sandy spoke up, "Reed, I have a friend who's currently looking for an assistant. Would you be interested?"

Pausing for a moment, Sandy continued, "It's for an artist's assistant role, mainly handling miscellaneous tasks. My friend is easy to get along with and very understanding. If you're interested, I can introduce you."

Reed fell silent for a moment before responding, "I haven't done this kind of work before. I'm afraid I might not be good at it and would cause you trouble."

"It's not a problem at all. My friend is easy to work with, and you won't have to handle complicated tasks. You just need to follow the normal work routine," Sandy reassured him.

Reed was still a bit hesitant, about to say something, when the doorbell rang.

Both Sandy and Reed turned their heads toward the door. Aunt Gloria went to open it.

It was Allan who came in.

Upon seeing Allan, Reed's eyes brightened.

Sandy, observing Reed's reaction from the side, leaned in and whispered, "You can talk to Allan. If you decide to go for it, just let me know, alright?"

Reed had been considering discussing the matter with his family, so when Sandy suggested it, he nodded in agreement, "Alright."

"Why is it just you two?" Allan walked over from the door and asked as he entered.

Reed replied, "Yanis is taking a nap, and Mr. Lawrence hasn't come out from the backyard."
