Yanis turned a deaf ear to Phoebe's prevocational words and had no intention to respond.
After all, today was Anika's first day home, Yanis didn't want to argue with any of the Lawrences today.
Yanis could endure it, but Bonnie couldn't let it go.
As soon as Phoebe's said those words, Bonnie smiled, "We would die for it. You think Yanis wanted to be a member of your family? You are not even qualified to be family with her, you know?"
"You..."
"What? Did I say anything wrong?" Bonnie took a look at Phoebe and then at Neve, who was taken here by Lucia, "But I wonder if that woman's really going to be the new Mrs. Lawrence."
Phoebe was about to speak when Bonnie added, "As long as Zane and Yanis haven't gotten divorced, that woman will stay a mistress."
With this, Bonnie lowered her voice, looked at Phoebe and said, "I heard that it's contagious, hanging out with a mistress. Miss Phoebe, you'd better be careful."
Phoebe immediately wore a long face, "Say that again!"
Everyone looked over.
"Phoebe!" Edison warned.
Phoebe glared at Bonnie and angrily left.
"Bonnie. You were amazing!" Anika whispered after Phoebe was gone.
Bonnie was stunned and wanted to say something, but in the end, she simply smiled at Anika.
It was Anika's first day home, although they didn't hold a grand party, everyone who was related to the Lawrences was there.
Even if someone wanted to make trouble, they didn't dare to.
Yanis had not much appetite, but because Anika had been really enthusiastic, she ate some food.
The Lawrence family was a big family. Yanis had married Zane for five years and still hadn't been able to remember all the members of his family.
After simple pleasantries, Yanis and Bonnie left the dining room.
The night passed very slowly.
"Yanis, where is the bathroom?" Bonnie followed Yanis and walked around the backyard before they went back to the living room.
Yanis showed her the way to the bathroom, "I will wait for you in the front yard."
Bonnie nodded, turned around and went to the bathroom.
Yanis poured herself a glass of water before heading to the front yard.
The rain had stopped but it got even colder outside.
Yanis pulled up her collar, standing in the corridor and listening to the lively noises from the house, she frowned.
Whether it was five years ago, or five years later, or during those five years, Yanis had been to such occasions many times, but every time, she felt like an outsider.
No one but the Lawrences knew she was Zane's wife.
"Miss Thompson, do you enjoy the feeling of not fitting in?"
A female voice came.
