I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 240

Chapter 240: We Have Always Been Best Friends.

Ivan was sitting in the car, looking at Yanis who was standing across the road, he couldn't care about anything but her.

Teddy opened the car door and got in the car. "It's such trouble to buy a fucking medicine."

Speaking of which, Teddy handed the bag in his hand to Ivan. "What are you looking at?"

Ivan didn't speak for a long while, then Teddy followed Ivan's sight.

When he saw Yanis standing by the side of the road, Teddy frowned. "Is this called fate?"

Ivan looked away when he heard Teddy's words. "Let your people give her a ride. It's not easy to get a taxi in snowy weather."

Teddy really wanted to swear, but seeing the goose feather snow floating outside, he swallowed the words. He called his people and asked them to pick up someone at the hospital gate and send her back home.

After finishing the phone call, Teddy looked at Ivan. "Can I go now?"

Ivan looked at him. "Are you in a hurry?"

Teddy said, "I'm not in a hurry."

It wasn't until Yanis got into the car that Ivan looked away. "Let's go."

Teddy didn't want to wait any longer, so when Ivan finished speaking, he started the car and drove away.

It snowed heavily all day, covering everything in white.

Yanis stood by the window, looking at the heavy snow flying outside. She couldn't help covering her stomach with her hands.

For some reason, Yanis suddenly thought of Zane.

It had been almost another week since she left Manches City.

She hadn't heard anything about Zane.

The relationship between Lucia and Neve was exposed, and the stock of the Lawrence family almost dropped to the bottom.

But she didn't hear that Zane came forward to solve it.

Yanis had almost gotten used to life in Viteto for the past two days, and she didn't feel any empty feelings.

The mobile phone on the table behind her suddenly rang, and it brought back Yanis's thoughts.

The only person who knew her number was Bonnie.

So Yanis thought it was Bonnie calling, and turned around to get the phone.

It turned out to be an unknown number.

Yanis hesitated for a few seconds, pressed the phone to silent, and did not answer it.

Soon, the call hung up by itself. After a while, the phone rang again.

It was still the same number.

Just when the phone was about to hang up, Yanis pressed the answer button.

When the phone was connected, Yanis did not speak but waited for the other person to speak.

"Yanis."

When hearing this voice, Yanis was stunned for a moment, and then responded, "Ivan?"

Ivan's voice came from the phone. "Are... are you okay?"

Yanis hummed. "Very good, how about you?"

"I'm fine."

The two suddenly seemed to have lost their words, and they were silent for a while.

In the end, it was Ivan who spoke first. "Are you not in Manches City?"

"Well, I want to change the environment. Manches City is too suffocating."

"Then why don't you tell me? I begged Bonnie to get your phone number."

"I'm sorry, I... just want to be alone."

"The last time my mother went to see you, were you angry?"

Yanis chuckled when she heard Ivan's words. "No."

"Yanis, you know that I..."

"Ivan."

Yanis interrupted Ivan. "We've always been best friends, right?"

One sentence made Ivan speechless.
