Anika felt satisfied that the real culprit in this matter had also been punished.
As for Antonio, even if it wasn't because he was Yanis' brother, Anika might not sue him.
It was a relief to them when everything was clear.
Apart from Antonio, Yanis chatted with Anika for a while before hanging up the phone.
After she finished the video call with Anika and was about to return the phone to Zane, another call anonymously came in, and Yanis accidentally pressed the answer button.
A familiar female voice came from the phone, "Zane?"
Immediately, Yanis recognized who she was.
It was Lucia.
Yanis did not answer. She walked out of the bedroom with the phone and handed it to Zane.
Zane watched her come out and asked, "Have you finished talking?"
Without answering, Yanis gave Zane the phone.
Zane glanced at her, then reached out to take the phone, and frowned slightly when he saw the screen.
Although there was no name of who was calling, Zane still recognized the owner of the phone numbers at a glance.
"What is it?" asked Zane.
Lucia's voice came over the phone, "Who is with you?"
"It's my own business," Zane answered impatiently. "I have already made myself clear in the morning, please don't call me again."
"Zane, are you trying to drive me crazy?" Lucia questioned him hysterically on the phone. "Even Anika has nothing to do with you, you can protect her like that. But Neve, she has blood ties to you. She is your real younger sister!"
After hearing Lucia's words, Zane sneered, "Even so, it's up to me whether I will accept her as my sister or not. If I choose not to, then she is nothing!"
Then Zane hung up the phone.
Yanis stood aside and watched all the chaos. As Zane was about to say something, his phone rang again.
Still the same number.
Zane hung up without hesitation.
Lucia didn't seem to give up and called again.
This time, Zane hung up the phone again, blocked the number, and then put the phone away.
Yanis recalled that Zane used to treat Lucia with respect.
Even if Lucia had gone too far sometimes, Zane would not have talked to her so impatiently.
But now...
Yanis stepped forward and sat down on the sofa. "I heard… Hasn't Neve been sentenced yet?"
Zane hummed, "I don't intend to get involved."
Yanis nodded and didn't speak again.
The living room fell silent in an instant.
After a while, Zane's cell phone rang again. This time the call came from Albi.
Zane reached for his phone and answered the call, "What's wrong?"
"Mr. Lawrence, are you going to meet the project leader this afternoon?" Albi asked.
Zane checked the time and said, "Yes. Please come and pick me up now."
Albi answered, "Okay, I'll come over soon."
After hanging up the phone, Zane turned to look at Yanis, "Yanis, come with me, okay?"
"For what?" asked Yanis.
