Yanis staggered and stood still, leaning on the car door and looking at Marnon who was standing not far away.
When meeting her worried eyes, she smiled weakly at her, indicating that she was fine.
"Marnon, I'll send you the money for the things you just bought. Go get ready. Allan will pick her up tomorrow morning."
After speaking, Nealon looked at Sameer again, "I'll take Mia to the town. Allan will pick her up too tomorrow."
Nealon did not give Sameer and Marnon any chance to negotiate.
It was an order, not a negotiation.
Nealon took Mia away and left Yanis there to to hold each other up.
Thus Sameer and Marnon would give up the idea of sending Yanis away.
"Mia can't sleep well at other places." Marnon looked at Nealon, "You can have your people here. Yanis won't disappear. Don't take Mia away."
Nealon laughed, "Alright then. Prepare for tomorrow morning. Just going through the forms. "
Marnon nodded.
Nealon left and asked two people to stay at Mia's house.
Marnon helped Yanis into the house and said as they walked, "We really can't do anything. Please forgive us."
Yanis felt like stepping on the air. She was extremely uncomfortable. After hearing Marnon's words, she shook her head slightly. "It's okay."
Marnon sighed, "We can't afford to offend Nealon. He is the boss here. He has the final say on many things. Our lives are all in his hands, so..."
She didn't finish the sentence, but Yanis understood.
It was not easy for a family like this.
Yanis didn't sleep well at night. She had different dreams all night.
The dreams were grotesque, which made her exhausted.
Opening her eyes, she saw Marnon, sitting beside the bed, dozing off.
Yanis pulled the quilt from one side to cover Marnon a bit.
Then she got out of bed lightly and poured a glass of water from a kettle.
After having some warm water, she felt a bit more comfortable.
Probably hearing something, Marnon woke up and turned to look at her.
The two looked at each other.
Yanis said softly, "Go back to sleep, I'm drinking some water."
Marnon hummed and fell asleep again.
Marnon trusted Yanis, knowing that she would not leave secretly.
After drinking the water, Yanis stood in front of the window and gently lifted the curtains a little. It was dark outside with strong wind.
Yanis stood for a while before returning to bed.
The bed had turned cold again. Yanis warmed it up and slept for a while.
Not long after, someone knocked on the door.
It was loud, with the rude voices of the guys.
"Wake up! Wake up! "
Marnon stood up with a frown, and glanced at Yanis who was leaning on the bed, "Didn't you sleep all night?"
Yanis hummed, "I can't sleep."
"Let me get you some food. They will pick you up after breakfast."
