Chapter 361: Don’t Keep Standing At the Same Position. You’ll Be Tired.
Along the way, there was nothing else in the car except the sound of breathing.
Ivan sat on the co-pilot and looked down at the mobile phone that kept vibrating, but he didn't answer.
Teddy couldn't resist asking after it rang for a while, "Why don't you answer?"
Hearing his words, Ivan put the phone in his hand. "Nuisance phone."
His answer surprised Teddy a bit because he saw clearly that the caller ID on the screen was: Mom.
However, thinking of Ivan's recent situation, he didn't speak in front of Zane and Yanis.
The car soon stopped in front of Linen Bay.
Teddy stopped the car and looked at Ivan who was sitting in the co-pilot. Then he turned to look at Yanis and Zane sitting in the back seat. "Mr. Lawrence bought a house here?"
"Yanis bought one."
Teddy was a bit stunned.
Zane thanked him and got out of the car with Yanis.
When Yanis got out of the car, Ivan also pushed the car door and got out. He helped Yanis carry the suitcase down from the trunk. "Have a good rest."
Yanis nodded. "Thank you."
Looking at Yanis, Ivan had many words to say, but he said nothing when the words came to his lips.
"Yanis, can I hug you?"
Ivan was so nervous that even his breathing stopped for a few seconds when he asked.
After his words, Yanis didn't respond. She stepped forward and reached out to hug Ivan proactively.
Ivan was a bit stunned and hugged Yanis slightly, too. He patted her on the back slightly. "No matter what happened, it would be okay."
"Ivan, look ahead. Don't keep standing in the same position. You'll be very tired."
Yanis's voice was so light that no one heard the words except Ivan.
Hearing her words, Ivan frowned slightly. He remained silent for a few seconds before saying, "I see."
Ivan could understand the meaning of Yanis's words.
When Yanis was in Viteto, they promised to be friends in the future.
But he couldn't just consider her as a friend.
Now... there seemed to be no way back except to consider her as a friend.
It was only one way left for him.
Only by this would he and Yanis not have the possibility of parting ways.
Because only friends would not break up completely.
After a brief hug, Yanis let go of Ivan and smiled at him. "It's okay, I'll be fine soon."
Ivan nodded. "Okay, go home now."
Yanis responded to her and turned to Zane. "Let's go."
Zane glanced at Ivan, nodded at him and followed Yanis into the apartment.
Ivan saw the two walk in for a long time, with his gaze following them.
Teddy took a step forward and stood side by side with Ivan. "Do you still love her?"
After his words, Ivan retracted his gaze and turned to walk to the car. "I'm trying."
Teddy glanced up at the apartment and also turned to the car. He said after starting the car, "Don't push yourself too hard. Someone won't be forgot easily once you fall in love with her. Let nature take its course."
Then Teddy looked sideways at Ivan. "Do you want to go back now?"
Ivan leaned on the seat in a low spirit. "Well, I have to come back."
Teddy looked at Ivan and shook his head helplessly.
There were some things he could only stand by.
It was still up to Ivan to solve it himself.
The distance from Linen Bay to Baxter Mansion was not too far.
But Teddy drove slowly.
He had known Ivan for so long that he could naturally guess what he was thinking.
After half an hour, the car stopped at the door of Baxter Mansion.
After turning off the engine, Teddy took a cigarette and handed it to Ivan. "Would you like a cigarette?"
Ivan reached out and took it from Teddy's hand. "I think Mila's proposal is pretty good."
Teddy was about to light the cigarette, but he paused when he heard Ivan's words. He turned to look at Ivan. "What's it?"
Ivan took a puff of his cigarette and roughly recounted what Mila said that day to Teddy.
After his words, Teddy kept silent for a long time. "Would you think you push yourself a little too hard? Love is not an article you can take or leave casually."
"Besides, are you really going to do this? You should know that if you do, there may be many conflicts between you and Mila or between the Baxter family and the Hope family."
Ivan leaned lazily on the seat with his eyes narrowed slightly. He spit out a smoke ring and said, "I think it's OK."
Teddy was speechless for a moment. He adjusted his sitting posture and lit the cigarette again. "Do you mean you have decided?"
Ivan responded.
Teddy frowned, but he didn't speak again.
The two sat in the car and smoked silently.
Until Ivan's mobile phone vibrated again, Teddy finished his cigarette and turned to look at Ivan. "Shall I go in with you? You might say you have been with me for the last two days."
Ivan threw the cigarette butt out the window. "No, I'll go in by myself. You can go back."
That done, Ivan pushed the car door and got out of the car.
Teddy saw Ivan leave while sitting in the car. He finally couldn't help shouting, "Ivan."
Hearing this, Ivan stopped and turned to look at Teddy. "What's wrong?"
"You'd better take your marriage seriously."
After his words, Ivan smiled. "Well, I won't have any loss anyway."
Teddy, "…"
It appeared that Ivan would lose anything. But in fact, the person who suffered the loss was Ivan indeed in this transaction.
Once he made such a deal with Mila, he would have to give up all his other options.
As for the marriage certificate, it didn't matter whether they had it or not.
Ivan knew it.
He just wanted to take advantage of Mila to eliminate all his options in such a way. Only then could he force himself to contain his love deep in his heart, so that it would never have a chance to appear again.
