Chapter 447 - That Woman Doesn't Look Like A Good Person
The smile on Lana's face stiffened again after hearing Zane's words. "Sure, I'll treat you some other time then."
Zane nodded and got up , ready to leave.
Lana also stood up. Probably because she got up too fast or she did it deliberately, she stumbled a little and jumped directly at Zane.
Out of instinct, Zane reached out to help, in case Lana would knock directly on the opposite table.
Although he was just helping, the posture from afar looked like Zane intimately embraced her into the arms.
Often, coincidences always happen unexpectedly.
Stella and Sandy came in through the door and saw such an blasting scene.
The first person to see Zane with a woman in his arms was Stella.
"Sandy, that man... seems to be Mr. Lawrence?" Stella said with a tone of disbelief.
Sandy, after hearing Stella's words, followed Stella's line of sight and looked over. When she saw the two people by the window, Sandy hummed lightly, "Dear sister, you are right!"
Sandy lifted her foot and was about to walk towards Zane.
Stella quickly reached out and pulled Sandy, "What are you doing?"
"To give some people a reminder, of course." Sandy turned back to Stella, "Sis, don't worry, I'm still in control."
Stella didn't even have a chance to speak again, and Sandy was already walking quickly towards Zane and Lana.
Sandy lived up to her profession, her acting skills shocked even Stella.
"Ah, darling, why are you here? Who is this auntie? How can you hug each other?"
Sandy took Zane's arm intimately as soon as she came forward, and her affectedly sweet tone gave people goose bumps.
Lana, who was helped to stand up by Zane and had not yet had a chance to talk to Zane, seemed to have not yet returned to her senses and was frozen in place by Sandy's sudden words.
Zane also did not expect to meet Sandy here.
Sandy looked at Zane with her head tilted, and her eyes looked a bit aggrieved, but in fact she blinked at Zane without a trace.
It seemed that Sandy was holding Zane's arm intimately, but she kept the distance and only grasped the hand by Zane's clothes, not actually holding his arm.
"Zane, this is..."
At this time, Lana just came back to her senses and asked Zane softly after glancing at Sandy.
Zane was just about to speak when Sandy opened her mouth first, "I am... of course the closest person to Zane."
Lana had heard people say before she came back that Zane had a wife, and that they had previously divorced, and recently seemed to be getting back together.
Lana had thought that at least his wife would be a lady of elegance and nobility.
But the woman in front of her didn't... look like a lady at all.
She didn't think Zane would fancy this type of women.
Lana looked Sandy up and down all over and suddenly found her face familiar..
Sandy is also sharp-eyed. When Lana sized her up, she raised her hand and pulled up the mask that hung low over her jaw, "What are you looking at? Auntie, won't look as good as me even if you look at me again."
Lana was stunned by Sandy's words.
Lana was actually not ugly, but definitely not good-looking either. It was only that her features were common, and not outstanding from the crowd.
If not for the occasion and the good upbringing, Lana might have just fighted with Sandy a long time ago.
Even though Lana was furious in her heart, she held back at this time, even with a faint smile on her face. And she just tilted her head to look at Zane, her voice as usual, "Zane, aren't you going to introduce for us?"
"She's..."
"Yanis," Sandy responded beforehand, "My name is Yanis Thompson."
Lana's smile disappeared and she extended her hand towards Sandy, "Hi Miss Thompson, I'm Lana."
Sandy didn't reach out to shake Lana's hand, just nodded. "Aunt Griffiths, be careful when you walk, or the next time you fall, no one will be around to help you. Then it will be really embarrassing."
Sandy was not a easy-going person to deal with, nor was she an elegant girl like Lana thought in her heart.
So what she said was too blunt in its meaning.
But from the beginning to the end, Zane did not reveal Sandy's true identity.
Lana smiled, "Thanks to Zane just now, otherwise I might have made a fool of myself."
Lana raised her eyes to Zane and said softly, "Let's meet again some other time. I won't bother you today."
Zane nodded, "Okay."
When Lana left, Sandy quickly let go of Zane, "Sorry about that."
Zane looked at Sandy without the slightest change of expression, "You are alone?"
Sandy turned her face to the side, "With my sister."
Sandy had bought dessert at this cafe several times before, so she came here today to buy some for Aunt Jillian and other people.
Who knows, as soon as she walked in, she saw the scene just now.
Sandy saw that Zane was not upset by what she did just now, so she had the courage to ask tentatively, "Mr. Lawrence, you wouldn't do anything wrong to Yanis, would you?"
Zane tilted his head and looked at Sandy, his tone serious, "No."
Sandy nodded, "That's good."
At this time Stella also walked over and greeted Zane, "Mr. Lawrence."
Zane nodded slightly in response, "For dinner here?"
"Sandy and I came to buy some dessert. The dessert here is good. Would you like to bring some back to Yanis?"
Yanis also liked desserts, so after hearing Stella's suggestion, Zane responded, "Then it's a good idea to join you."
Sandy had contacted the store before coming here, so she had reserved a lot of freshly baked desserts in advance.
Sandy recommended several desserts with good taste to Zane.
After that, Sandy chose many more to bring back to Aunt Jillian and the others.
After selecting dessert, Zane paid directly, "How did you get here? Shall I send you back?"
Stella said, "No, we drove here."
Zane nodded, "Then I'll go back first."
"Okay, bye Mr. Lawrence."
Sandy waved her hand at Zane, "I won't tell Yanis about what just happened, but you have to come clean to her."
Zane smiled, "Okay."
"I don't think he would do anything wrong to Yanis."
Stella looked at Zane's back and whispered.
Sandy narrowed her eyes, "Just because he doesn't want to, it doesn't mean others won't."
Stella, after hearing Sandy's words, withdrew her eyes to look at her, "What? You still have the superpower of foreseeing the future?"
Sandy raised her hand to Stella's arm at night, "Sister, that woman just now is not a good person at first glance."
