I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 452

Chapter 452 Hear in Prison

Yanis hummed and said, "What time is it?"
"Eight o'clock." Zane reached out and pulled her out from under the covers, "Go wash up and have breakfast."
Yanis reached out and hugged Zane, "I don't want to move."
Zane got up and picked her up from the bed, carried her directly into the washroom, put her on the sink, picked up the toothpaste and handed it over.
Yanis reached out and took it, brushing her teeth while looking at the person standing in front of her.
"Hurry up and brush, it's time for breakfast, or it'll get cold."
Yanis hummed, then quickly brushed her teeth and washed her face, and opened her arms towards Zane.
Zane consciously carried the person from the washroom back to the bedroom, "Eat and then have more sleep?"
Yanis shook her head, "No, I'm going to the exhibition starting today."
Last time from the Duncan family, Yanis talked to Zane about the painting competition.
Now when he heard Yanis say this, Zane naturally remembered soon. "You're going alone?"
Yanis swallowed the food in his mouth, "There are other people, but it seems that there is no one I know."
Zane did not say anything, watching Yanis almost finish her muffin. Only then he asked a question, "the Old Mr. Duncan will also go?"
Yanis stopped moving when he heard this and looked up at Zane, "Do you want to ask if the Old Mr. Duncan is going, or do you want to ask if Iris is going?"
Zane met Yanis's eyes, with a smile, then he reached out and took the muffin from her hand, and handed it to Yanis's mouth, "Go?"
Yanis opened his mouth to eat the porridge Zane handed over, and then took the muffin from Zane's hand again, "If he could have the talent of painting, the Old Mr. Duncan wouldn't have let his family not use it and give me the invitation."
The smile on Zane's face deepened after hearing Yanis's answer, "Then I'll send you over later."
Yanis nodded, "Okay."
Yanis finished eating, and Zane was responsible for cleaning up. Yanis then got up and went to change clothes.
It was close to eight o'clock when the two of them went out together.
The painting competition was held on the third floor of Manches City Gallery.
Zane parked his car at the entrance of the exhibition, got out and opened the door for Yanis. "When is the wedding? Send me a message in advance, I will come to pick you up."
Yanis got off the car before responding, "The time should not be fixed. You just get ahead with your own business. If it finishes after your work time, I will send you a message in advance."
After hearing Yanis' words, Zane mumbled, "Okay."
"I'm going in then?"
Zane nodded, but the hand holding Yanis' hand was not released.
"Zane?"
Zane mumbled, raised his eyes and looked around, then leaned in and gave Yanis a quick kiss on the corner of her lips. "Remember to eat lunch on time."
Yanis was shocked by Zane's action and blushed. She answered hurriedly, then turned around and quickly went into the Gallery.
Zane stood by the car and watched Yanis go in before turning around and getting into the car.
When neither of them noticed, in the car parked on the opposite side of Gallery, a pair of cold eyes took in the scene just now.
The person sitting in the driver's seat watched Zane's car drive away and then turned to the person next to him and said, "So now, you have decided to give up?"
"Aren't they divorced? Now it's at best a date. As long as they haven't remarried, I still have a chance." Lana's voice was so calm that no one could know she was happy or angry.
"You are crazy? You like a divorced man so much." Meeting Lana's eyes, the woman swallowed the words. "No, Lana, according to your current conditions, you can have any man you want. But you insist on a man who doesn't have you in his eyes and heart?"
Lana once again set her eyes on the Gallery door and said in a light voice, "Julia Ellis, you don't understand."
Julia rolled her eyes, "Yes, yes, yes. I do not quite understand what you are thinking."
Julia felt that Lana did not really need to do this.
It was not like there was only one man in the world, and mnoreover, he was a man already with someone in his heart.
So Julia did not really understand Lana.
Lana looked away. "Let's go."
Julia drove the car directly after Lana's words. "Are you really going to pursue him?"
Julia couldn't help but ask a question when the car was leaving the Gallery.
Lana mumbled, "What's wrong? You don't support it?"
Julia said, "If I don't support it, you will give up?"
Lana laughed lightly, "Julia, it's not easy to meet someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. I want to cherish this opportunity."
Julia opened her mouth to refute something, but when the words came to her lips, she felt that even if she was justified in what she was saying now, it would not dissuade Lana from her desire to pursue Zane. It would also make Lana feel resentful towards her.
So Julia swallowed what she wanted to say.
"If there was no one around, I might be on your side to give you advice, but the man you're looking at now has someone around him, so I won't comment on that this time."
Lana listened to Julia's words and turned her face to look at her, "Got it."
Julia also did not say anything more. After all, it is a matter of feelings. To say too much about it was not appropriate.
...
Yanis's information was provided by Mr. Duncan.
Yanis went in and registered, took the door card, and went straight upstairs.
There were a lot of people participating in this painting competition.
When Yanis went up, there were already a lot of people in the upper seats who had already started.
Yanis chose a window seat at the end of the room, where the light and surroundings were very good.
"Hello."
Yanis just sat down, and the person next to her greeted her.
Yanis smiled and said, "Hello."
There was no self-introduction, and the two simply greeted each other.
Yanis spent the rest of the day in no hurry to do anything, but instead took her tablet and casually looked through some information Old Mr. Duncan had sent her earlier.
There were no restrictions from this competition, but freedom of creation was encouraged.
Yanis preferred to paint landscapes.
So beforehand she went through some of her own paintings or some of her teachers' best works on the Internet.
After looking through them, Yanis came across one of her own landscape paintings from a year ago.
This painting was promoted by Old Mr. Cooke at that time with great effort.
The price was so high that Yanis thought that buyer did not know anything about painting.
Mr. Cooke was also shocked that this painting could be sold for $180, 000.
It was reasonable to say that there was nothing special about this painting, probably because when he was promoting it, the staff wrote a note at the bottom of the introduction page: recommended by Mr. Cooke.
So the price should be owing to the reputation of Mr. Cooke.
Yanis checked this painting carefully, take a closer look, and the name of it was given by Yanis randomly.
Hear in Prison.
This name seemed to have nothing to do with the painting.
Yanis herself felt that she might be crazy to make up such a name at that time.
