Myles was feeling a bit helpless. "I really can't just ignore this situation," he said.
Foster looked at Myles and asked, "What do you mean?"
Myles raised his eyebrows towards where Yanis was standing. "That's my wife's best friend. If anything happens tonight, I could get killed when I get home."
Myles then looked back at Foster and whispered, "And she's Zane's lover. You went a little too far with what you said earlier."
When Foster heard Myles' last sentence, his brow furrowed immediately. "She's with him? Does that mean the kid is his brother-in-law?"
Myles paused for a few seconds before responding, "You could say that."
Foster sneered coldly and said, "Well then Mr. Myles, I'm sorry, but I can't do you a favor tonight anymore. I'll personally come over to apologize another day, but for now please don't interfere."
Upon hearing this remark from Foster, Myles cocked an eyebrow arrogantly and asked him casually: "What? Are you planning on detaining him?"
Foster glared coldly at Zane as he replied in an icy tone of voice: "He is under contract with me; if he decides to change his mind last minute and walk away, it will cost him money - not only that, but he has already received an advance payment of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars."
"Foster," Zane suddenly spoke up in a low voice,"Are you really going to exploit someone so young? Do you have no shame?"
To which Foster retorted immediately: "I don't care about having any shame! What are YOU going to do about it?"
The tension between the two men escalated quickly.
It seemed like they were about ready to start fighting each other.
Myles signaled Evan with his eyes.
Evan understood what Myle meant; he stepped forward and hooked onto Foster's arm gently while saying softly: "Come on now Fos… we're both over thirty years old here… why are we acting like impulsive teenagers who lose their temper so easily?"
Foster tried pulling Evan's hand off of him, but Evan refused to let go.
"Are y'all here tonight just trying to stir up some trouble?" questioned Foster.
"Just looking for someone," said Myler as if nothing had happened earlier," How much money do you need? Zane will cover your loss. We just want to take him with us. Let's have have drink someday. I'll thank you for your help."
"Fine." Foster agreed after staring down Myler for several seconds," Except for the 150 grand advance payment Mitch received beforehand. According to our contract, if he works less than three months, then there will be penalty fees totaling three million dollars."
Myler couldn't help but curse under her breath upon hearing this amount demanded by Forster." Are y'all robbing?"
Forster waved over one of the guys, "Go grab Mitch's contract."
"Yes sir."Soon, the man brought over a contract.
"Take a look, these are his own signature," he said.
Zane glanced at Foster and snatched the contract from his hand. He carefully read through it and found that there were no complicated clauses, just some instructions and details about the signing period and penalty for breach of contract.
Indeed, it was three hundred thousand dollars with a small note below stating an advance payment of one hundred fifty thousand dollars.
