I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 608

Chapter 608: Marriage Ties, Children Will Follow

Freddy nodded, "So you guys aren't planning on getting married yet?"

Bonnie shook her head, "No, we just haven't decided. We want to take it step by step."

Freddy was quick to respond, "Well then, why not get engaged first? Pick a good day for the engagement and then pick another good day for the wedding. What's there to plan?"

Bonnie hesitated for a moment before speaking up, "Dad, that's a little too rushed."

Freddy looked at Bonnie and analyzed the situation before saying, "Rushed? You're already in your mid-twenties. Myles is older than you, right? You're thirty and still taking things slowly, it'll be forty before you know it. Do you plan on having kids when you're forty or fifty?"

Bonnie was speechless.

"Are you here to pressure me into marriage?" Bonnie asked Freddy, "Most fathers hope their daughters to stay home longer, but here I am being pressured into marrying quickly."

Freddy let out an exclamation,"I'm not pressuring anyone! This is all coming from..." He stopped mid-sentence, realizing that he had said too much. "No, you're old enough to get married."

Bonnie said calmly as she realized that Freddy had been sent by Old Cooke as his messenger, "Dad, did Grandpa send you here to talk about this with me?"

Freddy didn't hide anything anymore since everything was already out in the open, so he admitted it truthfully.

"Marriage will happen and children will be born, but we want to do things at our own pace, if that makes sense."

Freddy nodded his head after hearing what Bonnie had said earlier ,"Okay, I'll go back and tell your grandpa that you two are going to marry each other eventually, but just give you some time."

Bonnie agreed with him ,"That sounds reasonable."

Freddy laughed lightly before becoming serious again , "Although what I said earlier wasn't entirely from your grandpa, I also have the same idea, but I will respect whatever decision y'all make."

"I understand, I'll discuss this with Myles," replied Bonnie.

After several seconds of silence, Bonnie looked at Freddy again, "How about... we get engaged first, so Grandpa can feel more at ease?"

Upon hearing what she had suggested, Fredyy agreed wholeheartedly,"I think that's a great idea! We can't leave him without any hope."

Bonnie thought for awhile before asking Fredyy if he could ask Myles' opinion on this matter.

Fredyy replied confidently,"An elder brother is like a father figure. I'll talk with Haider first."

Without any objections, Bonnie told Fredyy,"Okay, you handle it."After completing his mission, Freddy left Bonnie's studio and returned to Cooke's Mansion.

Yanis had been haunted all night by Zane's actions from last night. One moment he would kiss her, the next he would hug her. She had been dreaming all night long and even felt a little disappointed that nothing else had happened.

When Yanis appeared in front of Bonnie with messy hair in the morning, she was startled. "What did you do? You have such big dark circles under your eyes?"

Yanis took a sip of water. "I slept. What else could I do?"

"Did Zane stay?" Bonnie asked.

At the mention of Zane's name, Yanis paused while drinking water and turned to look at Bonnie. "I'm allergic to him!"

Bonnie: "???"

Yanis finished her water and said, "I'm going back to sleep for a bit longer. Call me at ten o'clock so I don't oversleep. I want to go see Mia and them at the hospital."

Bonnie nodded as she watched Yanis leave, but called out after her just a few steps away: "Are you not having breakfast?"

"I'm not hungry; I want to sleep," Yanis replied before returning to her room.

Bonnie called out for Yanis again when it was almost ten o'clock before finally waking up an honest sleeper who said: "I think I can't make it."

Sitting on the bed, Yanis ran her fingers through her messy hair.

"What did Zane do last night that made you like this?" asked Bonnie.

Naturally, Yanis wouldn't tell Bonnie about what she dreamt about last night.
