I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 649

Chapter 649: Myles, Let's Get Married

Bonnie didn't waste any time and said goodbye to Myles before leaving the hospital. The meeting with her client was set at Blue Nestle, a place in the city center. Bonnie arrived a few minutes late due to traffic on the way there.
"Sorry for being late, there was some traffic on the way," she apologized.
Even though Bonnie drove fast from No. 3 Hospital, she still got delayed by traffic lights and congestion.
"It's okay, I had some last-minute changes on my end too. I was planning to discuss it with you when I returned but my business trip is longer than expected," her client explained.
Bonnie admired her client who was a well-known lawyer and one of those powerful women in the legal industry.
"Are all the measurements according to your previous size?" Bonnie went straight to business without wasting any more time.
"I need some adjustments since I'm pregnant now. The size might be slightly bigger than before," her client replied.
Bonnie was surprised by this news but congratulated her immediately. "Let me measure you again so we can make necessary adjustments for your dress when you start showing."
"Okay."
After taking detailed measurements and recording them down, Bonnie asked about any changes in schedule or timing for their appointment.
"Let's stick with our original plan unless something comes up on your end. Just let me know once everything is ready," her client confirmed their agreement before they parted ways.
Since it was still early after meeting with one of her clients, Bonnie decided to visit another nearby customer for measurement purposes which took until evening time before she finished all appointments scheduled that day.
As soon as she left from measuring at a customer's house that evening, Freddy called her phone while he stayed back in Manches City where he lived now after reuniting with his daughter recently.
"Still busy?" Freddy's voice came through over the phone.
"Yes dad," answered Bonnie as soon as she sat inside of car.
"Join us tonight for dinner?"
"I may not be able…"
"Bring Myles along," Freddy suggested interrupting his daughter mid-sentence."After finishing his sentence, Myles turned to leave, but after taking a few steps, he stopped and turned back to Bonnie. He reached out and took her hand. "Bonnie, don't say anything yet."
"What are you doing?" Bonnie asked.
"Shh... Bonnie, be quiet," Myles replied.
Without saying another word, Bonnie followed him down the stairs.
"Where's the car parked?" After they left the hospital lobby, Myles glanced at Bonnie and asked.
Bonnie raised her hand and pointed. "Over there."
Myles didn't say anything; he just led Bonnie towards where the car was parked.
When they arrived at the car's side, Myles took the keys from Bonnie's hand. "Bonnie, turn around and face away from me."
Bonnie looked at him before turning around to face away from the car.
"Don't turn around," Myles said softly.
"Okay," replied Bonnie obediently.
Myles opened the car door and took a small box out of the glove compartment. He looked around before noticing a flower shop across from them. Turning to look at Bonnie again he whispered: "Stay here for a few minutes without moving until I come back."
Just as she was about to turn around again she felt his hand on her shoulder stopping her movement."Don't move! Stay here until I come back!" warned Myles firmly
"All right then hurry up because my dad called us for dinner." answered an impatient sounding Bonny
"I'll make it in time." assured Miles as he ran across towards that flower shop while repeatedly telling Bonny not to look behind herself
"All right!" agreed Bonny with some annoyance in her voice
After getting confirmation that she wouldn't move or look behind herself Miles quickly ran over towards that flower shop on opposite side of road
As he was running too fast without paying attention , a vehicle coming in front of him had no choice but stop suddenly beside him. Miles apologized first before crossing over street after taking few steps forward .
The flowers inside were still fresh enough so Miles bought a bouquet of red roses directly paid for it then returned quickly back toward their parked vehicle .
"Bonny!" gasped Miles loudly when reaching near their vehicle
"Can I turn now?" asked Bonny eagerly
"Not yet!" shouted Miles quickly adjusting himself emotionally before continuing "Now you can."
Upon hearing this command, Bonny finally turned toward Mile who had already knelt down with one knee touching ground . He handed over ring which had been prepared long ago placed upon flowers earlier ."Will you marry me, Bonnie?"
