Chapter 661: This Good Thing is Counted on My Family's Bonnie
The man seemed to have just come to his senses and nodded, "Anthony is indeed smart!"
After speaking, the man turned to Iris and asked, "So what's it gonna be? Are we settling this between us or are we bringing these innocent people along for the ride?"
"Hey, when did you start doing such shameless things, Anthony?" A voice with a hint of mockery came from behind the crowd.
When Anthony heard this, he furrowed his brow and turned around. Myles was walking towards him with a few people and stood in front of him.
"You're almost thirty years old. Why are you still doing such childish things?" Myles said.
"What does that have to do with you?" Anthony's face darkened.
Myles glanced at Iris and said, "It's funny how you came here looking for trouble with my friend. Can't I resist a little bit?"
Anthony looked back and forth between Iris and Myles before asking them if they knew each other.
"Isn't that obvious? Why would I come if I didn't know you? To watch your performance?" Myles replied sarcastically.
Anthony wanted to curse at him but stopped halfway through his sentence. "What does it have to do with me? I'm just here for the show."
Myles chuckled,"You don't know what your men are up to every day or what they're reporting back to me about everything they do-even which women they sleep with at night!"
Anthony was speechless.
Seeing that Anthony had lost his temper, Myles turned satisfiedly towards Iris who was standing on the side,"Did your people break all of this stuff?"
Iris nodded her head,"Yes."
Myles sneered,"There must be some good stuff in there... you'll pay for it right?"
"It's my fault so the losses should be counted as mine." Iris agreed reluctantly.
But Myles laughed again,"It won't fall on your head."
Iris looked puzzled but Myle didn't say anything else; instead he turned around again towards Anthony,
"Do you know who got hit over here yesterday?"
For some reason when Anthony heard those words from Miles he couldn't help feeling uneasy inside."That's Zane's sister, are you sure you want to do this deal?" Myles asked Anthony.
Anthony's expression changed when he heard Myles' words. "Zane's sister?"
"Why don't you go to the hospital and check it out? Or verify it with the police?"
Anthony was taken aback. He really didn't know about this matter. He came along today because he had something else to deal with in the afternoon, so he came over to see what was going on.
He never expected things would turn out like this.
"You didn't investigate thoroughly enough," Anthony turned around and looked at the man standing next to him.
The man also looked confused. "Anthony, I... I don't know anything about this."
"You're only interested in money!"
Anthony slapped him across his face. "You solve this problem yourself!"
The man coughed awkwardly and said, "Then what about these..."
"Don't ask me!" Anthony interrupted him sharply.
Myles chuckled as he watched Anthony struggle with the situation. "This is all on you."
Just as Anthony was about to curse someone out, he thought of his relationship with Zane and suddenly became speechless.
After years of competing against each other both openly and secretly, it was the first time that Myles had seen Anthony lose face in front of him.
His embarrassment was evident on his face.
"Give me back your money for now; we're not doing business anymore," said Anthony sternly.
The man saw that Anthony was angry and dared not say anything more than nodding his head obediently.
"Well then," The man turned towards Iris hesitantly, "Do we need to compensate for these damages too?"
"You compensate! What does it have anything do with me?"
Myles whispered something into Iris' ear while looking at her intently.
Iris glanced up at Myles before replying softly: "Let's overestimate a bit."
Myles raised an eyebrow at her response before saying confidently: "Don't worry; they can afford it since they're part of The Austi family after all."
Iris hadn't realized that Antony belonged to The Austi family until now.
At that moment Jefferson walked over: "Mr Duncan estimated losses are around 9 million dollars."
After all three shops were destroyed completely by them.
"I understand," replied Iris calmly. Myles naturally heard it and turned to Anthony. "For the sake of our old acquaintanceship, your brother needs to pay up in full, ten million dollars."
Anthony looked at Myles with a serious expression. "Did you go rob him?"
Myles made a sound of surprise. "Okay, then you find someone to estimate it and see if I can solve this for ten million!"
Anthony stared at Myles for a while before saying, "If I find out you're screwing me over, you're dead!"
"You better find someone to estimate it now and see if I'm screwing you over or not!"
In fact, this budget was just an approximate number. If everything was evaluated in detail, it would definitely cost more than ten million.
After all, some things were smashed into pieces without an accurate valuation. If there were some good items inside that could be worth millions alone.
Myles knew this well in his heart and Anthony understood instantly after reacting.
"I'll have someone send the money later," Anthony said as he threw out these words before turning around to leave.
"Anthony, are you leaving without apologizing?" Myles looked at Anthony calmly and whispered softly.
After hearing Myles' words, Anthony paused his steps. "I didn't smash anything!"
"Then let your people apologize to them and send the money today; otherwise Zane will come talk with you."
Anthony gritted his teeth but coldly looked towards the man standing beside him. "Are you deaf?"
The man was also somewhat annoyed but since Anthony had spoken already he could only apologize with several people under him towards the store owner.
Only after they left did Myles turn towards Iris. "You can't reason with these kinds of people; they're scoundrels! You have to be even more ruthless than them or else they'll just bully you."
Iris was also worried that things might get out of hand so she called Myles about it earlier today.
"Thanks for what happened today," Iris said as she looked at Myles.
Miles waved his hand dismissively saying: "Bonnie's friend is my friend too; no need for thanks."
Iris smiled: "So should I thank Bonnie or thank You?"
Miles seemed very serious when he thought about it: "This good deed goes on Bonnie's account."Iris smiled and nodded, "Okay, but I still want to say thank you to you."
