Chapter 670: Recurrence Again

Upon hearing Zane's words, Yanis glanced at Anika and nodded in agreement. "Okay."
"Anika, we'll be outside. Just call us if you need anything," Zane said as he left, looking at Anika.
Anika didn't pay attention to Zane and instead looked slowly towards Yanis.
Yanis smiled lightly at Anika when she looked his way. "Anika, I'll be outside. You..."
"Iris," Anika interrupted suddenly before Yanis could finish his sentence.
Although her voice was low, Yanis still heard her clearly.
After Anika spoke, Yanis took a careful step forward. "Anika, do you want to see Iris?"
Anika shook her head slowly. "Iris."
Yanis didn't quite understand what Anika meant and turned to look at Zane instead. "Does she want to see him or..."
"Blood... so much blood..."
As soon as she spoke those words, Anikas hands clutched the blanket tightly while fear filled her eyes completely.
Yanis naturally understood what this meant after hearing it from Anikas mouth.
"Is Iris hurt?" asked Yanis with concern in his voice.
Anikas nodded slightly while repeating herself again: "Blood… so much blood… Ahhh!!!"
Suddenly screaming out loud made Zane rush over quickly and hug her tightly into his arms saying: "Calm down a bit more please! He's okay."
Yaniss movements were slightly slower than that of Zanes but he also moved closer towards them and gently patted on the back of an agitated-looking-Anikas body while trying to calm her down by saying softly: "It's okay now… It's alright…"
The two men tried their best for half an hour but they couldn't get through to calm down poor frightened-Annika who was still trembling with fear even though they had tried everything possible for calming someone like that down!
"Mr. Lawrence , why don't we give Miss Lawrence a sedative shot? She might not be able handle this situation anymore." The nurse noticed their efforts were futile so suggested it seriously .
Zane agreed without hesitation ."Please do."
The nurse pressed the call button for the doctor who came immediately afterwards . After administering the sedative injection , Annicka calmed down instantly .
Zane carefully laid Annicka flat on the bed after pulling up the covers properly around her body before standing up straight again .
"The patient is in such condition that I suggest involving both psychiatry department along with psychology department." The doctor suggested seriously once he left Annicka's room .
Zanes face showed no signs of surprise upon hearing this suggestion from Doctor because he already knew about it beforehand .
"I know some people working in psychology department but regarding psychiatry department can you help me out ?" asked zanes politely . The doctor nodded. "Okay, after daybreak, I'll have a psychiatrist come over from the mental health department to check on Miss Lawrence's condition."
Zane murmured in agreement. "Thank you."
"It's what we should do."
After finishing his conversation with the doctor, Zane pushed open the door to the hospital room and prepared to enter.
Just as Zane was about to grasp the doorknob and open it, someone inside beat him to it.
Yanis stood in front of him, their eyes meeting for a few seconds before either spoke.
Zane stepped back and let Yanis exit first before following behind her into the hallway. She closed the door behind her as she left.
"What did the doctor say?" Yanis asked.
"Go sit over there for a while," Zane gestured towards some chairs in the corridor.
Yanis nodded and followed Zane over to take a seat on one of them.
"Tomorrow morning I'll call Dr. Wood again about which psychiatrist is coming from mental health," said Zane as he sat down beside Yanis on one of those chairs.
Yanis furrowed her brow slightly at this news. "Anika's condition has worsened compared to before?"
Thinking back on Anika's situation earlier, Zane nodded seriously. "It seems like it might be even more serious than before."
Yanis didn't know what else she could say or do at this point since they had already discussed Anika's situation previously; however, once heart disease relapses like this then treatment can become even more difficult than during initial recovery stages - sometimes even worse than ever imagined!
Just when Yanis was thinking about bringing up Iris' situation with Anna Duncan stabbing her multiple times when suddenly Myles called out from his phone ringing loudly interrupting their conversation flow:
As they were sitting so close together now that both could see who was calling - Myles' name appeared on screen causing an uneasy feeling within Yanis' chest.
Sensing something off with Yanis' reaction too, Zanes took hold of her hand reassuringly while answering Myles' call: "Hello?"
"Iris has been stabbed by Anna several times and is now in ICU," came Myles' voice through his phone speaker.
Zanes hadn't expected such news causing him surprise but also understanding why Anika had reacted so strongly earlier," At No 1 Hospital?"
Myles confirmed," Yes."
"I don't have The Duncan family's contact information here; are you with Yanis right now?"Zane responded, "Yanis is with me."
After speaking, Zane handed the phone over to Yanis.
As soon as Yanis put the phone to his ear, he spoke up. "Myles, how's Iris doing?"
"She just finished surgery and was sent to ICU. Can you let the Duncans know?" Myles whispered on the other end of the line.
"Okay, I'll call Old Mr. Duncan," Yanis replied.
Hanging up the phone, Yanis turned to Zane. "I'm going to The Duncan's Mansion. You stay here and take care of Anika."
Yanis wanted to tell Old Mr. Duncan in person about Iris' condition since he was worried that Old Mr. Duncan would be alone at home after hearing what had happened on the phone.
"I'll have Albi drive you there," Zane said.
Initially hesitant about accepting help from Albi but after seeing Zane's expression change slightly when he refused it earlier, Yanis nodded in agreement instead."Okay."
Since it was early morning and there were few cars on the road at this time of day, Albi quickly parked in front of The Duncan's Mansion entrance.
"Mrs. Lawrence, I'll wait for you here and then take you directly to hospital later," said Albi
Yanis got out of car and closed door before heading straight into The Duncan's Mansion gate where she pressed doorbell for a long time before someone answered it finally .
"Miss Thompson?" The butler who worked for The Duncan family seemed shocked when he saw her standing outside their gate .
"Yes, I'm here looking for Old Mr. Duncan because something has happened." replied Yanis
At this hour if she came looking for him , it must be something important . Chamberlain Tony quickly led her inside .
"I'll go get Old Mr. Duncan, Miss Thompson. Please wait here a moment." Chamberlain Tony told her politely .
"Okay." nodded Yanis
It wasn't long before Old Mr. Duncan came out from his room . Seeing Yanishere , he asked directly ,"What happened, Yanish?"
Looking at him still wearing pajamas, Yanish couldn't help but suggest ,"OldMr. Duncan, you should change your clothes first. I can explain everything on our way there."
When old man heard what she said , he paused briefly before asking directly ,"Is this relatedto Iris?"
Not expecting that old man would guess so accurately, Yanish didn't hide anythingand simply nodded ."Yes, it is"
Old man nodded understandingly then turned around towards his room ."Let me go change my clothes. You wait herefor a while."
