"What? You'll buy anything?" Linda nodded, "I'll treat you with my one-year salary!"
Bonnie couldn't help but laugh, "That would make this meal a bit too extravagant for me. I won't be able to digest it."
"No, really, what do you want to eat? I'll go buy it right now." Linda looked at Bonnie earnestly. Then she turned to Yanis and said, "Yanis, what do you want? I'll buy it for you too."
Yanis shook her head, "No need, we just ate."
"How is everything being handled at the store?" Bonnie asked Linda and Stanley.
Stanley replied, "Yanis' things were the most damaged. Albi has already calculated the losses, and the police will take care of the rest."
Bonnie listened to Stanley and looked at Zane, "Mr. Lawrence, have you heard anything from the police?"
Zane nodded, "Still waiting for news."
"That was an intentional murder with the car!" Bonnie thought about the situation at that time and felt a bit scared. If they had been sitting there, they wouldn't have had time to escape. They probably would have lost their lives right there.
"The police will definitely give us an explanation later," Wendy chimed in.
Yanis' injuries weren't serious enough for her to stay in the hospital, but Bonnie's back wound needed regular dressing and she had to spend the night at the hospital.
Yanis originally wanted to stay and accompany Bonnie, but Zane disagreed, and Bonnie strongly opposed it. In the end, Linda volunteered to stay and take care of Bonnie, allowing Yanis to go back and rest. After all, the injuries on her leg and arm were also a cause for concern.
So after finishing dinner, Yanis stayed at the hospital for a while before leaving with Zane.
On the way back to D-king Castle, Yanis couldn't help but talk to Zane about Bonnie.
"Zane, if... I mean, if... never mind, it's nothing."
"Yanis, are you asking about Myles or is there something else you want to tell me?" Zane noticed Yanis hesitating halfway through her sentence and turned his head to look at her, taking the initiative to ask.
When Myles was mentioned, Yanis turned to Zane and asked, "Zane, do you know where Myles is?"
"He didn't say, just mentioned that he's not in Manches City."
Indeed, Myles didn't tell Zane where he was, so Zane really didn't know.
Hearing Zane's response, Yanis didn't ask any further.
Upon returning to D-king Castle, Yanis went upstairs, changed her clothes, and cleaned herself up. She couldn't get wet, so she could only wipe herself with a towel.
Zane was worried that Yanis might get wet, so he stood at the door the whole time.
When Yanis came out, Zane checked if she got wet. "I'll apply the medicine for you later."
Yanis acknowledged and looked up at Zane. "You should go wash up first. We can apply the medicine later."
Zane nodded and helped Yanis lie down on the bed before heading to the bathroom.
While Zane was in the bathroom, Yanis took his phone and glanced at the call logs. Looking at the top entry, Yanis hesitated for a moment but decided to make the call.
After dialing the number, it took a long time before someone answered the phone.
Once the call was connected, the sound of commotion came through the phone.
"Oh, Mr. Lawrence, not sleeping so late at night?" Myles' voice carried a hint of intoxication, which was clearly audible.
Upon hearing Myles' voice, Yanis replied in a deep voice, "It's me."
Myles didn't say anything, but he didn't hang up either.
However, the commotion on the other end of the phone quieted down, and only when it was completely silent did Myles' voice come through, "Yanis, what's up? Do you need something?"
"Bonnie had an accident, did you know?" Myles responded with a grunt, "I know."
