"Zane, go upstairs and change your clothes," Yanis said softly as she finished changing her shoes. She looked at Zane and added, "I'll go see what they're here for."

Zane reached out and pulled Yanis close. "I'll go with you."

"You're all wet. Go change your clothes first before coming down. I'll worry if you get sick," Yanis said, knowing that Zane was concerned that Martin and Olivia might say something upsetting to her. She wanted to accompany her.

Hearing Yanis' words, Zane didn't insist. "I'll be back down soon."

"Okay," Yanis nodded.

After Zane went upstairs, Yanis stepped into the living room.

Olivia and Martin were sitting on the couch. When they saw Yanis enter, they both stood up.

"Yanis, you're back," Olivia greeted Yanis with a smile.

Yanis walked forward and sat on the couch, her expression calm. "What brings you here?"

The smile on Olivia's face froze for a moment. "Yanis, we just came to see you. It's been a long time, and we wanted to see you."

"Well, now you've seen me. You can go back," Yanis didn't mince her words and directly asked them to leave.

The smile disappeared from Olivia's face instantly, replaced by a hint of embarrassment. She looked at Yanis and said, "Yanis, I know you're still upset about what happened before. We admit that we were wrong. We know we made a mistake. But we're your parents. How can you be angry with us?"

Listening to Olivia, Yanis couldn't help but want to laugh. "Can't I be angry? After the way you treated me, am I supposed to just endure it? I made it clear last time that we're even, so we have no relationship now."

The housekeeper had just poured water and heard Yanis' words. Even if she was slow to react, she could tell that something was wrong.

"Take the water over," Zane's voice came from behind, just as the housekeeper hesitated to approach. The housekeeper turned to look at Zane and asked in a low voice, "Mr. Lawrence, is everything not good between Mrs. Lawrence and her parents?"

Zane nodded. "We should still observe the proper etiquette. Take the water over, and then you can prepare dinner."

The housekeeper nodded. "Alright."

She approached and placed two cups of water in front of Olivia and Martin. "Please have some water."

After speaking, the housekeeper turned to Yanis. "Mrs. Lawrence, I'll go prepare dinner now."

Yanis nodded.

After the housekeeper left, Yanis looked at Olivia and Martin. "If there's nothing else, you can leave. I won't see you off."

"Yanis, don't be like this. We were indeed in the wrong before. Can't we apologize to you?" Olivia looked at Yanis and spoke softly.

Yanis furrowed her brows slightly and remained silent for a few seconds before looking at Olivia and Martin. "What exactly do you want by coming here today?"
