When Zane returned home, it was already close to dawn, and Yanis was fast asleep.
After taking a shower, Zane climbed into bed.
As soon as he lay down, Yanis turned over and snuggled up to Zane, hugging him tightly. She mumbled sleepily and then drifted back into a deep slumber.
The next morning, Yanis woke up early but didn't find Zane next to her.
She was alone in the room.
When she finished freshening up and went downstairs, she saw Zane entering from outside.
"Did you just come back, or did you go out in the morning?" Yanis descended the stairs and walked up to Zane.
Zane handed Yanis the breakfast he had brought, "I went out in the morning. You were asleep when I got back last night, so I didn't wake you."
Yanis reached out and took the breakfast from Zane's hands, "And what about Auntie?"
"I didn't let her come today, so I went out to buy breakfast for you. You eat first, and after you finish, I'll take you to the store," Zane explained.
Yanis nodded and turned to arrange the breakfast, "Shall we eat together?"
Zane glanced at the time on his wrist, "You go ahead and eat. I'll make a call to Albi and arrange some things." After finishing his conversation with Yanis, Zane turned and headed upstairs.
Yanis watched Zane go upstairs and didn't think much of it. Since it was already getting late, she quickly finished her breakfast.
By the time Yanis finished eating, Zane had just come downstairs, "Done eating? I'll drive you to the store."
Yanis glanced at Zane's face and asked, "Are you busy at the company today?"
"Not really. Just need to handle a few things and I'll definitely be there tonight," Zane replied, stepping forward to tidy up Yanis' stray hair. "Let's go."
Yanis nodded and followed Zane out the door.
When they arrived at the store, Bonnie and the others were already there.
The entrance was adorned with flower baskets.
"I'll head to the company first," Zane helped Yanis out of the car, "Today, Albi will stay here. If you need anything, just let him handle it."
Upon hearing Zane's words, Yanis furrowed her brow slightly, "Isn't Albi coming with you?"
"No need. I'll take care of the company's affairs myself. He'll stay here to assist you," Zane explained.
The store was indeed busy today and needed extra hands, so Yanis didn't argue with Zane. She left Albi behind to help.
After bidding farewell to Zane, Yanis turned and entered the store.
Bonnie approached and glanced towards the entrance, "Mr. Lawrence isn't giving you face today?"
Yanis replied, "There are some matters at the company he needs to handle. He asked Albi to stay, so if Boss Cooke needs anything, just let him know."
Bonnie nodded, "That makes sense. I won't hold it against him, then."
Yanis smiled and said, "Why did you come so early? Didn't I say I would come early today?"
"No worries, I'm not a delicate person, and there's no heavy work for me to do," Bonnie said, pulling Yanis to the entrance. "These two rows of flower baskets were sent by Haider and his group."
"Ivan still hasn't heard anything?"
