After hearing Brandon's words, Haider whispered, "There's no need for Mr. Hawkins to get involved. I called to ask Sandy's opinion."
At this point, Haider pondered for a few seconds before asking again, "Where's Sandy? If it's convenient, can I talk to her for a moment?"
"I'm sorry, she just fell asleep. When she wakes up later, I'll have her call you back. Is that okay?"
With the conversation reaching this point, Haider didn't have much else to say. So, upon hearing Brandon's words, Haider murmured, "Alright, I'll wait for Sandy to wake up and talk to her later."
They exchanged a few more pleasantries before hanging up the phone.
After ending the call, Haider looked at Eduard standing by the desk and quietly instructed, "Temporarily stall him and give him some other information, saying that I need to consider it first."
Eduard nodded. "Okay, I'll call him later and see if we can delay it for a few days."
Haider acknowledged with a soft "Try your best."
Eduard looked at the fatigued Haider and couldn't help but say in a low voice, "Mr. Hughes, if you're tired, you can rest in the lounge for a while. I'll make sure no one disturbs you."
During this period of time, due to Bonnie's situation and the Read family's affairs, Haider hadn't had a proper rest. During the day, he was busy with various trivial matters at the company, and at night, he had to work overtime to free up time to deal with the Read family and Bonnie's matters. It was as if he had divided himself into three people.
After hearing Eduard's words, Haider waved his hand at Eduard. "No need, you go ahead and handle your tasks."
Eduard didn't say anything more after hearing Haider's response. He nodded and left the office.
After Eduard left, the office suddenly fell silent.
One wave hadn't settled before another one rose. Just when they had almost resolved the issues with Bonnie and the Read family, now Bonnie's emotions were in such turmoil, and Haider hadn't thought of a suitable way to address it. And now, there was this new situation with Sandy, catching Haider off guard.
He had initially thought that he could handle the exposure of Sandy's relationship and had mentally prepared himself for it.
But he didn't expect that Sandy's situation wouldn't be exposed as a relationship, but with a bombshell directly hitting him.
Thinking about Bonnie's situation, Haider reached out and picked up his phone from the desk and dialed Yanis' number.
When Yanis received Haider's call, she had just driven from the villa to the store.
These past few days, the store had been somewhat busy.
It was strange, every time Bonnie had an issue, the store would be bustling.
Linda and Stanley hadn't been seen all day, and when Yanis made the call, they still hadn't had lunch.
After parking her car, Yanis answered the call. "Haider."
"Are you still with Bonnie?"
"No, I just came from there to the store. We had a customer come to pick up their clothes, so I came to check on it," Yanis said as she walked into the store.
Wendy was watching the store, and when she saw Yanis enter, she stood up to greet her. But upon seeing Yanis on the phone, Wendy held back the words at her lips and gestured twice.
Yanis nodded and spoke to Haider, walking further inside.
When Yanis entered, she saw a customer standing inside. She whispered, "Haider, can you wait for a moment? I'll call you back later."
Haider murmured in agreement and hung up the phone.
After hanging up, Yanis looked at the customer standing there and said politely, "Hello, sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's alright. It's our fault for not informing you in advance when we came over," the woman replied, handing a slip of paper to Yanis. "I contacted Miss Cooke before, and I've already transferred the final payment. Miss Cooke should have received it."
Yanis reached out and took the slip of paper from the woman. "Alright, please have a seat for a moment. Let me find your clothes for you."
