Chapter 1181 Innocence
To Dominic’s surprise, the person who took away the cane
from him was not his granddaughter sitting next to him, nor
James who was in the main seat, nor any member of Evans’s
family. It was Amelia, who had just been hit by his stick.
Dominic was moved by the gentle and kind smile on her face. “You are from the Clark family, there’s nothing to explain.”
“Regardless of whether I am from the Clark family or not,
things need to be clarified,” Amelia replied.
After responding to Dominic, Amelia put the cane back on
the table and fa ced everyone. “I know that the Clark family
and the Evans family are feud, and I also know that you have
lost loved ones and are grieving. However, the Clark family
has also lost many family members, far more than the Evans family, as far as I know.
“Furthermore, you dr ove the C family to England, and to this
day, the Clark family dare not provoke the Evans family again.
When I was born, you were already wiping out the Clark
family. It’s unfair to put all this hatred on me.”
Susan sneered, “As long as you are from the Clark family, you
are not innocent at all!”
Amelia glanced at Susan but did not rush to retaliate. She continued, “As I just explained to Dominic, although my mother’s surname is Clark, she was driven out of the Clark
family when she was young and has long since severed ties
with them.
“Even if I am from the Clark family, so what? The Clark family does not recognize me or my mother. Do we still have to bear the grudges caused by the Clark family? This is unfair to us!”
She emphasized again, “Moreover, I grew up in an orphanage and have never even met my mother. I don’t even know how many people are in the Clark family. How could I possibly be a spy sent by the Clark family? It’s illogical.”
“Who knows if what you’re saying is true or false?” said Sam’s trembling wife, taking the conversation.
Before Amelia could speak, Paul in a w hite suit walked in from
the door and said, “It’s true!”
Everyone looked at Paul and said, “You have to provide evidence when you speak. Don’t just help James with
everything.”
After throwing his coat to the servant, he sat down casually and said, “Of course I have evidence. Otherwise, would I dare
to speak recklessly?”
Susan reached out to him and said, “Paul, if you have
evidence, show it to everyone.”
He crossed his legs and glanced at her, “If you want to see it,
go check it out yourself. It’s not like you can’t find it.”
