Amelia stared at the dark screen, feeling a bit down, and let out a heavy sigh.
James, sitting on the couch and looking at financial data, waved to her when he heard her.
"Come here."
Amelia put down her phone, got up from her seat, and walked over to James.
Once in front of him, the man extended his fair hand and pulled her waist, letting her sit on his lap.
"Did Eva choose to forgive Jayden?"
Amelia hooked her arms around his neck and rested her head against his forehead.
"Babe, how did you know?"
After speaking, Amelia loosened her grip on his neck and pinched his well-defined handsome face.
"Look at how foolish I am. You're sitting across from me, so you must have heard."
James' face was sculpted with such precision, every inch perfect.
Being pinched by Amelia was like adding a few drops of color to a three-dimensional sculpture, making his cold and handsome face come alive.
James' face and hair were off-limits to everyone, except for Amelia, who would often pinch his face and mess with his hair.
She didn't have the courage to do this before, but after getting married, he gave her a sense of security, which made her dare to touch him.
Eva stared at the shop, hesitated for a few seconds, parked the car, and went inside. It took her a while to find the orange-flavored gummy candies.
She bought a lot of gummy candies and carried them to the hospital, taking a familiar route to Paul's room...
There were many people inside, mostly Paul's friends, who were making a lot of noise and trying to make Paul laugh.
The person in the hospital bed, however, didn't have much of a reaction, only showing a change in expression when he saw her through the crowd.
Anthony saw her coming and quickly made an excuse to take his friends and leave.
Once they left, only Eva and Paul remained in the hospital room.
Paul didn't want to pay attention to her and simply closed his eyes.
