As soon as the door sh*t, the guests in the hall began to whisper amongst themselves and point fingers at Amelia.
Amelia did not take it to heart. Instead, she turned to look at Eva and Daniel, the pair walking toward her.
“Amelia, who was that guy?” Eva looked at Amelia worriedly. Her instincts told her that they were not good people.
“The president of the Harris Group. He came to me for an important contract. That’s all.” Amelia patted her hand with a smile.
When she said this, she deliberately raised her voice.
There was a small microphone on Eva’s wedding dress. When she got close, her voice would come from the microphone.
The guests heard her explanation and started discussing again, saying that Eva’s friend was amazing, and how impressive she was to know the president of the Harris Group.
The more Eva thought about it, the more worried she became. She took off the microphone on her wedding dress, held Amelia’s hand, and looked at her worriedly.
“Amelia, if you’re in danger, you have to tell me. Even if I have to risk my life, I’ll help you!”
Amelia always seemed to attract bad people and relationships, ever since she was young.
