“Are you going to look for the chairman?”
Emily, dressed in a professional suit, saw that Amelia was waiting for the elevator and did not come in, so she asked in confusion.
Amelia came to her senses and quickly shook her head. “I’m sorry, I forgot to take something. You can go upstairs first.”

After that, she turned around and left, not even daring to look at
the two of them.
Watching her run away, Emily couldn’t help but turn to look at James who was standing by her side and say, “This assistant is really strange. We’re not ferocious beasts. How come she’s so scared that she won’t even take the elevator?”
James didn’t reply. His indifferent eyes showed no emotion as if he was uninterested in anything around him.
Emily reached out her slender hand, took his arm, and said softly, “James, thank you for taking me to the emergency room that night. I have been abroad for the past few years and am not used to the food there. I have suffered from gastritis, and it always flares up. I really appreciate your help.”
Emily quickly let go of her hand and lowered her head in disappointment. “Haven’t you been cured of your mysophobia
yet?”
James wiped his clothes with a handkerchief and said flatly, “It can’t be cured.”
Emily choked on her words.
