Chapter 112 Child's Play
"Harper, are you planning to ignore me until I leave, or are you still in shock from Benjamin announcing your marriage as a surprise?"
Isaac expressed his dissatisfaction coolly.
"I wasn't ignoring you. I've just been swamped these past few days. I was just finishing up moving. Are you planning to leave soon?" Harper replied.
"Moving? Where to?"
"I moved out to live on my own."
Harper didn't hide the truth from Isaac.
Isaac was taken aback. "Why? Did you have a fight with Benjamin?"
"It's not really a fight. We just needed some time to cool off."
"Harper, you're lying. If all you needed was some space, couldn't you have found that while staying with Benjamin? Did you really need to move out to get it?"
Isaac's piercing words left Harper with no excuses.
With a calm tone, Harper said, "I want a divorce."
"Because of Lauren?"
"Not exactly. It just seems like a divorce would be better for both of us."
"Harper, marriage isn't a child's play. Think carefully before making any decisions, and try to make them when you're calm, okay?"
Isaac urged her to calm down before making any rash decisions. But Harper was already calm, calmer than she had ever been.
Her decision wasn't born out of spite or stubbornness. It was the culmination of deep thought and careful consideration.
