I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 139

Chapter 139 Divorce Agreement

Harper calmly clutched the document in her hand, slipping it into her pocket before grabbing her notebook and leaving the bedroom to stow it in her bag by the entrance.

Throughout, she maintained a poker face but her gaze was cold.

She quietly waited for Benjamin to wake up, and once he did, they sat across from each other at the dining table for breakfast.

Benjamin glanced at her impassively as he asked, "You're up early. Why not get some more sleep?"

"I have to go to the office later," Harper replied.

"Aren't you tired? You could rest for a few more days." He suggested.

"Don't you have work?" Harper countered instead of responding directly.

Benjamin furrowed his brows slightly. "Curtis will pick me up later. I have a lunch appointment this afternoon."

"Alright." Harper nodded after finishing her milk, then dabbed her lips with a napkin before looking up at Benjamin. "I'll pack your clothes for you, and you can take them with you later."

Benjamin's expression turned cold in an instant as he set down the glass of milk in his hand. He stared at her intently, his voice cold as he questioned, "What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing, just that you're no longer feverish, so do you still need to stay here? This place is small and lacks a lot of things, so I think you'd be more comfortable back at Pineview Villa," Harper explained calmly.

"So, you're kicking me out?" he retorted sharply.

"If that's how you choose to interpret it," she replied coolly.

There was no attempt at softening her words. She simply echoed his sentiments.

Benjamin's gaze turned cold as he smirked. "Harper, you're such a playgirl. Are you kicking me out because I didn't satisfy you enough last night?"
