After exchanging greetings, Harper left the hospital before Scott and Lily. As she was about to leave, Lily suggested, "Harper, why don't you let Benjamin take you? You two haven't seen each other in a while, right?"

"Lily, I need to go to the office, and Benjamin should stay here with Grandpa," Harper replied.

Without waiting for a response from Lily, Harper turned and left, the first time she had ever walked away before a conversation was finished.

She really didn't want to stay any longer.

Watching Harper's retreating figure, Lily sighed silently, "Look at you, can't even appease your own wife. You deserve the scolding you got from Paul."

Lily's concern had evaporated, leaving only indifferent reproach.

Benjamin remained silent throughout, quietly enduring the criticism.

Tired of talking, Lily just glared at him sharply and then said, "Your grandpa already told you, if you don't make things right with Harper, don't bother coming home."

"Mr. Scott Martin, your wife, is always lecturing me. Aren't you going to say something?" Benjamin glanced at Scott, his voice low and teasing.

Scott simply replied, "I'm henpecked, so I'm no help to you."

Benjamin could only manage a helpless smile, saying nothing more, quietly enduring Lily's scolding.

But every other word she said was about Harper, and the image of this woman kept floating before his eyes. Harper possessed that swayed everyone's heart towards her.

Benjamin's eyes narrowed slightly, an excellent detachment showing, but the shadows in his gaze lingered long after.
