Chapter 211 Don't Divorce
After that, Benjamin didn't glance at her again and immediately turned to head upstairs.
He was unwilling, and Harper had no way to convince him.
But she didn't leave. Instead, she stayed overnight in a guest room on the first floor.
If she were alone, going back at this hour wouldn't be a problem, but with a baby on the way, she didn't want to take any risks.
Afterward, Harper tried calling Annie again, but her phone was still off. If Larry could take someone away from the airport, he must have made up his mind.
Only Benjamin could persuade him.
Benjamin knew Harper hadn't left. After going upstairs, he stood on the bedroom balcony. From this angle, he could see Harper's car. He waited for about half an hour without any sign of movement before finally turning back to the bedroom.
A dreamless night passed.
The following day, Harper was up early. She went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Draven, seeing her, was delighted. He said, "Harper, why didn't you sleep in a bit longer?"
"I've had enough sleep," Harper said with a gentle smile. "Draven, what time does Benjamin usually get up these days?"
"Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. But he rarely has breakfast at home lately, and he's been coming back late. Probably because you weren't here, so he didn't find it interesting."
Harper paused briefly, just smiling without speaking.
After preparing breakfast, she went to the dining room to wait for Benjamin. Around 7:30, he finally came downstairs and entered the dining room, seeing her seated there.
The chair had been emptying for days, and seeing her there now seemed to bring back memories of earlier times.
