I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 253

Chapter 253 Live Separate Lives

Harper argued, "Grandma, I walked around the construction site all afternoon today. I have done enough exercise. Please don't force me to walk anymore."

"I didn't see it, so it doesn't count," Eleanor said.

"Grandma!"

Eleanor didn't listen. She turned to look at Benjamin and said, "Pregnant women are moody. Please be understanding."

Benjamin nodded. "I see."

In the end, the two of them went out under Eleanor's gaze. Actually, Harper wanted to go back to her apartment, but Benjamin said, "Eleanor is watching us, so let's go downstairs, take a walk, and come back, okay?"

The two of them strolled around the apartment building. Benjamin asked, "Has Eleanor always been this lively?"

"Yes."

Eleanor was a very optimistic person.

Benjamin smiled faintly, "That's good."

Harper didn't know why he asked that, but she said nothing else.

The two finished their walk half an hour later.

When they reached downstairs of the building, Harper said, "I'll go up by myself, and you can leave."

Benjamin immediately understood Harper's refusal and reminder.

He narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at her.

They looked at each other. Benjamin was expressionless, but he had a meaningful look in his eyes. He asked, "Harper, are you still angry with me?"

Harper paused slightly and responded in a low voice, "No. Nothing happened between us. Why should I get angry? Why would you ask?"

"Since you're not, why don't you let me go up?"

"If you go up, you will have to come down later. I just think it will be troublesome."
